The way I do it, you use the trainer at the route right after the nugget bridge, to the left. DO NOT BATTLE HIM. It will be a while before you will be able to glitch Mew again. Stand even with the water, and save. Take one step down, and press the start menu. Make it that he doesn't come up to you. Use someone with fly or teleport, then go back to the city right by Nugget Bridge. The menu will not work now. Go face the trainer above the bridge with the Slowpoke. Next, you have to again teleport or fly back to the city. Then go up to the Nugget Bridge, and he menu will open. Close it, and a Mew will appear. Here's a link to see what other Pokémon you can make appear, depending on the last Pokémon you defeated.
