How about we get a gamecube emulator? I'm sure MANY would love one...It may not be as "retro" as these other games, but it would be cool. what do you guys think?

Many people have asked about this and personally. I don't think its possible. It would be too hard to emulate games of that size and it would cost tons of bandwidth. I have a gamecube so i'm not too worried about not getting it, but it will more than likely not happen. (i'm not a staff member so my opinion is just logic, i don't now what they are doing behind the scenes.

I think that is not possible for vizzed, because first it would cost a lot of money to get it on vizzed, and those games cost a lot of space.

As what those two users, Mobouis1 and Ender44, had stated. Yes, it will cost a lot of money for Davideo7 (The owner) to able to add a gamecube to the vizzed plug-in as you can tell, the NetPlay were just added by himself and it takes like, at least 400+ dollars from his pocket to create the plug-in for all of us to enjoy. Beside, the more things Davideo7 add to the plug-in, the more higher the site will be cost each months and it possibly that if we add gamecube right now, like, right at this second. We lose the site in less than a week. Not to mention but the server are not strong enough to support over 100 gb worth of gamecube games. (Yes, each games are at least 100 gb. Only SOME are less than 1 gb each.)

So, yes, what I meaning to say is that they are quite pricey to add to site, beside, those game need high-end computer so if you have low/median-end computer, like, not support really high graphic game. There's good chance your computer will be crushed. I had a dolphin emulator with final fantasy iso but I nearly lost my computer due to high graphic game and the computer under your power were forced to run the game that were NOT meant for computer usage.

I'm sorry, but it won't happen for at least another 7 or less year if I believe correctly.

(NOTES: It also applies to rest of other iso emulator such as emulator for PS2, xbox, playstation sony, all beside the one that we are lucky to have and that is Sega CD! )

Popeye116 : This has been suggested many times but it's not going to happen anytime in the near future. (as in YEARS)

Here's the thing.

Gamecube isn't that old and Nintendo is VERY protective of it's franchises. Hosting gamecube games would force a company like Nintendo to at the very least request the games be taken down and probably try to shut the site down altogether. So keep in mind the legal ramifications...

Also it would cost a TON to host gamecube games on the site because of the bandwidth involved, the huge amount of storage needed on the server, and time to develop a GameCube emulator to work with the Plugin.

Lastly, GameCube emulators aren't that great right now. Very unstable and would require users have a VERY stout computer/graphics card. Heck a lot of users that frequent this site have a hard enough time getting SNES/GBA/N64 games to work let alone a system from the previous generation.

Local Mods : This probably can be closed

I think adding Gamecube emulators will be great! Sure, Gamecube games take up a lot of space, sure you can buy a Gamecube for $50 at Gamestop, but it's the thought that counts. First Gamecube emulator? Wind Waker!
