Hey, me and my friends have started this youtube channel known as the Head Smashers Guild, and I'm in charge of uploading the videos and doing all the tags and mainly maintaining the channel. You can see what I've done below.

So we're uploading gaming videos, and as you can see, the content is fairly narrow (but it will widen later), and despite my best efforts to make name titles work and key wording the tags, it's not getting many views. This is what I'm here for. Can you offer any advice, absolutely any at all (I can take criticism), on how we could improve this channel? I'll give 1000 Viz for each piece of advice that is helpful.

I'm not here asking for subscriptions, but if you like what you see, then a like or subscribe would be very much appreciated.

EDIT: Here (at the time of editing) is our latest video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ISVQK5vRHA We were able to include the dazzle in it and greatly improve the quality. Is this good? Are we heading in the right direction as equipment is concerned?

Well, one thing I did.with my Well, one thing I did.with my channel was make my pictures, both profile and page background, relevant. Most of my videos are about Mario Kart 64 Let's Plays, so my page background is Mario Kart 64. Also, another piece of advice is to put all tags relevant to the video, but not to overdo it.

Oh, and one thing about tags that I'm curious about, will "let's play," and "let's," "play," mean pretty much the same thing? will the search engine pick up "let's play," as separate words as well as altogether? Or should I always make tags as separate words and never combined them into the same tag?

On tags, you'd be better off to leave the tag 'lets play' and not individually tag 'lets' and 'play' because you'll get a lot of false results from people putting in, for example, play ball. I've never gone looking for random 'lets play' videos, I've always searched by the name of the game, though.

Also, I don't think the lack of views is because of anything you're doing, I think it's simply the choice of the game you started with. Again, I don't watch 'lets play' videos randomly or just for fun, I usually go when I have a problem with the game in question or can't figure out how to do something, so yeah. I find watching random 'lets play' videos really boring. I want to PLAY the game, not watch someone else do it!

You might try advertising here on vizzed. Lots of people have threads asking you to subscribe to their thread, maybe try that? Other than that, I'm not the person to ask. Hope that helped, don't need the viz, happy to help.

Like mrfe said you can try to give away Viz for every subscriber. That might help a lot. Another thing you can do is try to do two lp's (let's plays) at the samentime. That way if one person doesn't like one gma e you are doing they can watch the other. Anothe trying you can do is try to lp newer games. Even though I loved crash bandicoot not many people still want to play it. If you still want to do that game maybe you can lp one retro and one new game. I hope his helped.

earthwarrior :   It's a possibly. I might just do that. Although I would really want to improve the content as well so it'll be morre enjoyable for the views to watch as well.


mrfe : Well, we're going to have a meeting soon on what else we can do for content to widen the audience a bit. We weren't going to be a "let's Play" channel, but we haven't got that many more ideas. Also, someone else is working on a KoH Let's Play right now, we just need to wait for the editing to be finished. (He wanted someone else to edit his videos...) Anyway thanks. Viz will be sent.

If you look up Smoshgames, and look at their Channel, it might help you, if you see there channel they have a specific video every day, with other ones that go on that channel as well, so maybe you do something like that, and kinda try out what they do, like dope or nope, and boss battles. Its just something to consider. 

sethguy4 : Thank you, Viz will be sent. However, we haven't got to the stage yet where we can have a video uploaded every day, because more often than not, the people recording stuff have stuff to do. But we can try.

Here's a tip :
You need an epic intro for your videos. The song has to be related to games.
Also,you could make more multiplayer videos. You know,you and a friend,ducking it out in Super Smash Bros,or maybe Mario Kart...
And you could make a slogan for your videos.
Somenthing like... "SmashersGuild,Smashing for the sake of Smashers!"
"SmashersGuild,because Smashing is fun!"
"SmashersGuild,Smashing the opposition!"
"SmashersGuild.I Smash,you Smash,we Smash!"
"It's not a Guild unless it's Smash! SmashersGuild!"
"SmashersGuild! It's time to Smaaaaaaash!"
