i got this game when i was 8 and when i played it i remembered everything. i felt the nostalgia immediately.


8 graphics

I don't care for the graphics in a game that much, but man, for a gba game this game's graphics are amazing!
it was a big stepup from ruby and sapphire. the graphics look beautiful. it's colorful and you never feel bored in any place.


9 sound

the original red and blue had classic music but this game remastered every single sound and made it even better!
it's not the best soundtrack in the Pokemon gba games and definitely not the best in the series.
but it is really special.
some of my favourite tracks are : trainer battle theme, cerulean city and of course the epic champion battle theme.

10 addictiveness

it's Pokemon. Nuff said


5 story

the characters are uninteresting and the plot is too simple.


7 difficulty


this is the second hardest main pokemon game ever if you play through the main story.
like, the 8th gym leaders strongest pokemon, is just has just as high level as the champions strongest Pokemon in g/s/c/hg/ss!

this game is fantastic and the best remake on the gba.
certainly much better than SONIC GENESIS GBA!!!!!!! I HATE THAT GAME SO MUCH!!!!!
this was a big stepup to the original games.
it deserves a 9/10 from me.
