So, will the doomsday that the Mayans predicted really happen?

Well this should be fun .... 

If I can be honest I don't really care if we live or die.. If we live life carries on the same as normal and the date goes down as another "fake" apocalypse....

If we all do die.. Nobody will know anyways .. Because we will all be dead...  Might lead to some delays into Heaven though

I really hope the Mayans weren't correct. I love living, and spending time with my friends and loved ones. However, if the world does end shortly, I would want to be with everyone I know, so we can be together before everything ends. If the world doesn't end though, I am going to appreciate life a whole lot more, and not take any day for granted.

I was just going to post "No." And leave it at that, but I thought I could at least give some more information:

There are good reasons to say that the world won't end.

Will the world end? Don't know. But did the Mayans predict this? NO!

To this day, I still don't see why people think the Mayans predicted the world was going to end. Sure, the Mayan calendar stopped December 2012. But here is the logic to that. Something happened when the Mayans were at that date when making their calendar..... They were killed. You have a race of people that were killed off by eastern invaders, so of course their calendar isn't going to continue. How can it continue if they don't have the people to keep it going? 

So the Mayans were not predicting a doomsday. That is a huge misconception. They just couldn't make anything past December 2012 because they died. Plain and simple.

Not saying doomsday won't happen this month. It might. But the odds of it happening are no more than the odds of it happening 5 seconds after I make this post.

Wow everybody, cool your beans! The world isn't going to end. It is another fake apocalyptic lie. Besides, I agree with Eddy. That is some very factual information. Why would the earth be ending? Don't anybody think that if the earth would be ending that it would be so much more of a bigger deal than it already is?

Although if it were to happen, it would be a riot the day before that and the day the earth ends. Why not let loose and just go crazy when EVERYBODY and everything is going to die anyway. LOL, that was a joke. But still, it shouldn't happen. There were countless apocalyptic lies in the past.

All this is another way to jack up prices on food,gas and w/e cause the government knows all the paranoid people are going to go and run out and stock up on everything. But I personally think nothing is going to happen and if it does I hope I sleep threw it.

I don't think it is going to happen. There would be a reasonable explanation for it and people would of found out if something was going to happen.

ok i am pretty shore this is FALSE because it was stated that the myans where not infact predicting the world to end but, instead its the end of a myan cycle!!! so it would not be that they are predicting the world to end.

To look on the dark side of things for a second (and some of you know how much I love to do that) The more likely outcome is that the mayans either got tired of making calendars that long or just though "dude we're not going to last this long, lets just stop." The sad thing is though, when the world doesn't end some guy is going to say that they misread the calendar or something else  and then just change the date to try to get people scared again. And again and again this process will repeat until the majority of Americans just say "wouldn't we have seen the meteor by now if it was coming or think about the unlikely hood of this happening.

I predict that dinosaurian zombies will pop out of the ground and fall out of the sky and end the human race. Or maybe undead Mayans will use magic shaman sticks and destroy the world.
