My favorite one is Final Fantasy because I have played that since I was like 7 and I still play the Final Fantasy series.  I do like Pokémon though but I have play Final Fantasy and the Final Fantasy all are different and are all awesome unlike Pokémon which is like the same but with different Pokémon and different people.  That is why I like Final Fantasy more then Pokémon in my opinion. 

I can equally say that I like both but when it comes down to which one is better I would have to say it would be Final Fantasy. My reasons being customization, the various monsters that show up due to their region, and of course the amazing STORYLINE!! Now don't get me wrong, Pokémon is fun as all hell, the Pokémon themselves are amazingly designed and their abilities are beyond belief. However, in my eyes Pokémon lacks a big story around it. Of course there are those who can argue that there is a big story, that is true but it only goes so far when it comes to what you can do. Pokémon is solely based on catch, train, collect badges, defeat elite 4, catch legendary Pokemon, and stop whatever evil faction is against you.

With Final Fantasy up to FF9 and so on you can pretty much do anything when it comes to exploring and there are so many secrets in every single game. Monsters are always growing stronger as you progress where in Pokémon once you get a strong Pokémon you start blowing away the competition. The sense that there is always a bigger and harder challenge ahead gives you a great sense of accomplishment with every victory in Final Fantasy.

These few reasons here are the ones I believe that make Final Fantasy better than Pokémon. But again, I still love Pokémon and I find both enjoyable to no end. 

That's a very hard decision. I like Pokemon because I use to love walking around and training my Pokemon. However, Final Fantasy is very creative, and has a deep story line. I think I am tied between the two. I would always play Pokemon when I was little, so it brings back my inner child. But if I feel like playing a more difficult and in depth game, then I would pick Final Fantasy. Pokemon is pretty straight forward. Train your Pokemon, and beat the trainers and gym leaders. Final Fantasy is one of those games for me, that when I have to do a quest, if I don't write it down somewhere, I don't know what to do when I go back to it. All in all, I love both of these games, just depends on what mood I am in.

Well this is not a hard one for me I grow up playing Pokémon but I still think if you have not tried final fantasy you should go pick it up and try it but I still think Pokémon wins I could not get in to final fantasy.  

I do enjoy final fantasy, a lot! (Cloud is a bro) But, I have played Pokémon since old school and stopped progressing with the series when finishing pearl. Final Fantasy has a better story, but I have to give this one to Pokémon due to nostalgia.
