We're introducing a new monthly RGR Competition, Video Competitions. Since the RGR Plugin now supports the ability to record videos of your gameplay, I figured that this would be a great way to utilize that.

Using the RGR Plugin, record yourself playing Christmas games in the RGR. Whoever gets the most video views among all their submitted videos wins! Your videos must be uploaded to the vizzed youtube account and the video must be added to the game's page.


Rules:
-You can submit as many videos of as many games as you want, just as long as they have some sort of Christmas theme
-Be sure to let me know in this thread which videos you've uploaded
-Only submissions between December 1st and December 31st count
-The view counts will be tallied up on January 1st
-Your videos must be uploaded to the vizzed youtube account
-You must record your videos with the RGR Plugin
-You must add your video to the game's page

I recently recorded and uploaded 15 more videos which I edited into my previous post.

Can I use BSR Screen Recorder or Camtasia instead of the plugin's recorder? The built-in recorder doesn't record from a microphone, and I don't want to submit a video of terrible quality - aka, a video that's ridiculously boring. Since I find a gameplay video without any commentary whatsoever boring unless the player has amazing gaming skills, I'm asking this question...

NovemberJoy : That's your preference but some people like to be able to watch a game video without any commentary either because they want to hear the original music/sounds or because they just want to see what the game is about.

The point of the Video competitions is to get more people to use the built in video recording capabilities of the RGR Plugin so only videos recorded with the plugin count for this competition.

I'll be uploading Batman Returns let's plays full of funny commentary and little point outs here and there. I'm doing let's plays because it is what I usually do for the subscribers and others who love let's plays. I promise it won't be boring! I'll be using bb flashback pro only because it makes it easier for me to keep the audio of the game audible and clear enough even next to my commentary.

If I can't do that though, then I don't mind if I have to be disqualified from the competition. But, this let's play goes beyond my best abilities of any let's play I've done before.

One question though, should I still upload the video to my own youtube account as well, or only to Vizzed.com's account?

Davideo7 : WHAT! agh, that's ok. I already recorded so much awesome gameplay that I can't go back and do it again. Well, looks like I lost already, maybe next time. At least now, I can fully concentrate on finishing up a few more reviews.

Ah right, and sorry that the reviews are all coming late. Because of the commercial, it took away from the time I'd normally spend writing reviews. I hope you can understand if I don't meet my quota this month. But I'll make up for it, promise!
