Yeah, these past two games were a little... err.... EDGY than the previous ones. Still fun to play but they do have racist undertones.

This game isn't racist at all. It would be more racist if Africa was totally not allowed to be hit with a biological disease just because they are black. People may say "you're white killing black people" but I'd rather say "You're the main character from the first game, killing improved zombies"

no racism at all. the opposite in fact. i mean their just showing the virus will affect anyone, and if you go to a place where alot of a certain race of people, of course those will be the zombies.

I agree with DH. I think some of these people that spend all their time crying wolf about all these cases of racism are actually making the problem worse and not better. If people would simply spend time working together instead of attacking people of other races and accusing them of anything and everything they can only in an attempt to push another race down instead of trying to pull everyone up. It's really counter-productive because instead of fixing anything it only compounds problems. Those being called racist quite often retaliate which is again seen as racist and nothing ever is fixed.

Why didn't anyone complain about the fact that you're killing white people in the early RE games? I agree with Geeogree (very well said btw), people making a big deal about stupid stuff like this make the problem worst.

Smart move by Capcom (if they are responsible), deploy black person to cause controversy... will make the public want to buy it and play it more then before. Free advertising and media coverage... I think it's just part of this Obama drama going on, first we had the police killing a monkey in NY Times now we got cry baby asking to change their skin color to white or recall the game completely

Kinda reminds me of the idiot who sued McDonalds for making him fat! Don't like it, too bad, other people are always on the oppisite side to support it.

And anyway, why is it ok to shoot white people in a game but no other race?

I find that people are making a lot of noise for a small subject though. The racism in video games is not that offensive, unless KKK or other movement are involve, but otherwise it shoudn't be a big issue. It's crazy how people are making a big fuss out of it

I watched a video on KKK a bit back and made it sound like a moral clan. Although the KKK is well known for killing blacks, the logic from the video stated that they are people who want to preserve whites in America. Whites will become minority soon and I think that is the whole point of KKK. To protect our borders from illegal aliens from Africa.

Anyway, we are all racist as well as sexist (I use those terms loosely). Some more extreme then others. We act different around different races and act different around different sexes that is how we are programmed. People can deny it but it's true.

While most of us are on low levels of racism and or sexism, those who are out of control are the ones who complain about it and misuse it, in this case the guy who went to the media saying RE is racist is the one who has the real problem. Who cares if RE5 is racist or not we all are, there is a fine line to be drawn and that line is when you treat the other race like garbage or like an animal instead of a human being.

Since this is a video game (entertainment) then it has no real logic for calling the producers racist. Hey, look at the game I play it doesn't have a women character the creators of that game are sexist! See how stupid that sounds? Some people need to think straight before accusing.

I'm going to have to argue that point about the KKK for a moment. ._.; The KKK was formed a long time ago, back when people feared African people under religious pretenses. Maybe by now the purpose of the group is different, I wouldn't know, but I still wouldn't condone what they're doing, and can't see the logic very well, because they're oppressing and killing other people.

I honestly think when people are whining over the supposed racism in RE5 (RE4 didn't get nearly as much attention, hmm...) it's just because it's something to point the finger at. I heard about all that drama even before Obama was put in office, so someone's just being a sissy. : | Oh hey, people are being infected in Africa (realistic; look at the amount of terrifying diseases that are rampant there), and now there's an American man going in to neutralize the zombie threat. I agree that Resident Evil 5 isn't really racist but you can kindof see why some people might think it is. I meen for about a third of the game you have to fight a load of mud covered africans who live in mud hut's and throw spears at you. But still at the same time it's not like you are actually killing black people as they are already dead by the time you get to them. And anyway how many people complained that Resident Evil 4 was racist as you only kill spanish people. In theory just by saying something is racist when it isn't trying to be is racist in itself as you are saying theres a difference between killing say a white zombie and a black zombie personally i think what's the difference.

Resident Evil is NOT racist against black people or mexican people, I mean common, it was made in Japan, however it IS racist to americans, next time you play resident evil, do the beggining and just wait around in the beggining part and don't do anything until chris start talking sheva, you will know what i mean then.
