I gotta go with sonic mostly because of sonic 2 on the genesis and sonic adventure 2 battle on the gameube but i still like mario but

For the classic titles I give my vote to Sonic, but when it comes to variety and the newer games that recently came out, I prefer Mario.  I still love both franchises though, not including a certain Sonic game that came out in 2006.
