I'm thinking about making it so that certain users have high speed downloads when they go to play RGR games. Currently all of the RGR game files are stored on the same server which means that during peak hours, when you go to play a game you haven't played before, the download speed might be slow (and big games take forever). For those who would have access to High Speed RGR game files, their downloads would be downloaded from a separate server, possibly one of my other vizzed servers and their download would be a lot faster.

So who would get the High Speed downloads?
-Staff Members
-Anyone who has donated to the site

I wouldn't be able to offer this to everyone because than it'd slow down the downloads of that server as well. Plus this is incentive to get more users to donate and it also offers another reward for those who have already donated and to the current staff.

tRIUNE : You're basically the only person who would be impacted by this negatively since it would mean you'd have to upload games to 2 servers instead of 1.

darthyoda : It wouldn't be that many fewer people. The donators and staff consist of a very very small percent of people playing games, probably less than 1%.

Sounds like a cool feature.

I probably wouldn't mind uploading to both servers.

Would that mean disconnecting and reconnecting for each upload?

tRIUNE : You can have 2 instances of Filezilla open at a time so you'd just simply upload the files to both servers. I'll let you know when I implement this.
