Lol, I was at the grocery store the other day. Got bored and decided to mess with people. Got to the snacks aisle and yelled, "Where are all the twinkies?!? I can't live without them!"...

No one got it...Needless to say, I left and made my purchases at a different store.

Twinkies may be gone now, but at least we still have Little Debbie's sponge cakes. They don't have near as much cream, and they're a lot more dry than Twinkies were, but they still taste fine.

but honestly I think its just something everyone should have its a classic, iconic, thing of creme wrappened in a high calorie bread with all the perverted double meanings we all know so well from school.  to lose the Twinkies is a terrible crime to humanity watch Zombieland and you will understand a Twinkie is a beacon of hope and without it is a sad sad future.

I head a small company was picking up Wonderbread and going to start producing it again. Can't remember the name... someone I've never heard of before. There's been no official word on the snack cakes, though. I heard a rumor earlier that Tastykake was going to take over the production of Twinkies, but that's still just a rumor at this point.

That being said I'm sure someone else (if they haven't already) will buy up a few of the "brands" like the Twinkee, Ding/Dong etc. Just because Hostess mis-managed their money doesn't mean that those products wont sell.

I realized when I first heard all this going down...I haven't eaten one of these Hostess products in probably 10 years. lol Crazy I know ;-)

  This really sucks. I mean really, people can try to copy it but they will never get it perfectly right. The only things I even like from Hostess is the zingers, muffins, and the cupcakes with the swirl and white filling in the middle. The workers should never have gone on strike in my opinion.
