Dee_5 : Depends what game you are talking about.They can't be caught in the Main games, such as Emerald, Gold, Fire red, and Yellow (but the Ditto glitch makes it possible in Yellow). But in hacks such as Pokémon Rebirth, Pokémon Emerald 386, and others, the trade Pokémon usually evolve at level 40.

yea i know theyre obtainable, but what im trying to find out is if in the crystall all hack, do the 'evolve by trade' pokemon  actually evolve or do they need to caught in their final forms. sorry if my post wasnt clear   (:
