If you haven't been keeping up with the election, he won. 281 - 203 electoral votes. I would have been fine with either candidate- I'm interested to see of Obama's plans will somehow manifest, if a little, now that he has more time in office. On the other hand I was wondering what things Romney would have gotten done had he been elected.

So who did you vote for, and why?

If this is a duplicate, please link to the other thread and close. I searched around but the results were just recent.

I couldn't vote (lack of ride) and I'm not big for politics. But. I'm not surprised Obama won. Romney can try again next time around.

I voted Jill Stein, but knew obviously it would be Obama or Romney.

I'm glad the lesser of two evils won... but it's not official yet. So you'll forgive me if I hold my breath.

This s*** isn't over yet unfortunately. They WILL demand recount after recount.

Ktanaqui : I don't think so. Romney said that he won't run again for President; which is good because I think many Democrats know how to attack Romney (plus the Economy might get better, weakening Romney's postiion). If anything I will bet that these 5 people will be the next Republican nominees...

- Rick Santorum- He did good during the Republican election and he is more "human" then Romney (still he has a terrible social issue opinions...but I can't blame him).

- Bobby Jindal- Would be interesting to see and I think he could be an underdog and shouldn't be overlooked.

- Jeb Bush- Say what you want about the Bush Family; but Jeb is more likeable, he wins votes with Latinos (something Republicans can't do), and he will nab Florida. The question is that he is a Bush (need I say more).

- Christ Christie- Frankly he has the personality that most common people tend to like. It remains to be seen how he will preform in debates and if he can do what Romney couldn't do (since both are similar...except that Christie is more "human" and "likeable".

- Rob Portman- He can win Ohio (which any Republican needs) and he seems like a nice guy. Like Christie it remains to be seen how good he is in debates.

Question will be is who will the Democrats select to replace Obama since I wouldn't want to be Obama's successor since that person will face a MAJOR UPRISING from the Conservative groups.

Well, looks like it will be hard for me to go even to a community college now. There's five of us, and all play sports, and one already in college, and it seems like it won't be easy for me at all. Romney wouldn't be very good either, but it's not like Obama has done anything to deserve 4 more years of driving up the national debt.

I'm excited he gets a chance to further his plans to better this countries economy. I believe he deserves this, he did a great job his first four years considering he had to bring us out of Bushs mess. I imagine we'll be really well off by the end of these four years but only time will tell.

patar4097 :

With all due respect, neither side would have given you anything.

As someone who comes from a poor family, and only got into college on an "athletic" scholarship and a ton of grants...

My best advice to you is to simply make your story well known to the Dean of Admissions or whatever they call them.

Also, in terms of national debt... neither side would have or could have fixed it. This wasn't about who was best, but rather who sucked the least. America has spoken. Obama is a slightly more attractive option than Romney

Actually, Romney won the popularity vote (the ones Americans' votes count on), but Obama won the electoral. I did not vote for either of them, and satisfied with that. I wish people would know they do not HAVE to vote for the two party candidates if they do not like them; there are other parties and it is NOT throwing your vote away.

ruesen : Well you're right about electoral college votes are the one votes that matter, they're supposed to vote for what the majority of the population in their state is voting for so it does help in a sense. Also Obama won in electoral votes and popularity votes. He won by like 1,632,353 votes and that number may change by a little in the next few days

RealBrickz : I can agree with you there. It's just what I said in my first post. I'm not getting my hopes high but I looking forward to seeing if Obama's plans will happen. I does take a while for things to get going. When Reagan was president, his "Reaganomics" scheme didn't happen until AFTER he was out of office. Maybe the same will happen for Obama.

ruesen :

Last I heard Obama crushed the popular vote at the end.

So there's not even that.

I voted Jill Stein, who was a write in in my state.

I don't see it as throwing my vote away so much as I see it trying to dam a river using only a single toothpick.

legacyme3 : Tell me about it, for maybe the first year or so everyone is going to give Obama a chance until he does one little thing that frustrates us. Then we want Romney, and then we all regret our choice and basically wasted/flushed 4 years that'll actually help America down the drain... Heck, Abraham Lincoln would do better.... >.<

If I were american (and of age), I would have voted Obama too, but only because I see voting for a third party as throwing your vote away and it wouldn't have helped in not getting Romney into office.

This goes to show how s***ty america's political system is (CGP Grey made a video on why this system isn't favourable), the media even completely blacks out third parties and they aren't even present in them big debates, making me wonder if the majority of people even knows that they have other choices.

If voting for third parties wasn't so pointless, I would have gone with Jill Stein, though, not only because of my results on this pretty informative test, but alas, no chance for her.

I guess the good news is we can all be broke with one another. For more years of poverty, amen. I'll see you later for dinner inside cardboard box. We can play chess with moldy fries and pennies we find on the street.

Rallenzone : Don't worry, if the Mayans are right then you won't have to worry about Taxing the Rich, Obamacare, and anything else Obama in about 1 month and 14 days.

patar4097 : I agree with Leggy. As someone whose parents didn't invest in a college fund, someone who wouldn't be able to afford community college, and was "barely" able to get into community college by investing his ENTIRE LIFE SAVINGS into the Stock Market; I can say that YOU are the reason as to if you can get into college; not Obama or Romney. I would say that if your grades are good enough, apply for Scholarships, save up your money, or get an Athletic Scholarship if your good at the sports. Good Luck and Good Hunting!!

leod : This is why we need to get rid of the "Winner take all" system and start a "Proportional" style government (similar to Denmark).

Rallenzone : He's just trying to build a stronger middle class and he's helping to create jobs so less people will be in poverty. The only people's fincial income he's really hurting is upper class folks and he's just making them pay the same tax rate as the middle class which isn't bad.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
