I have read quite a lot of books in my life and I'm only nineteen I can say that with confidence. Not the age but how many books I've read, or reading at the moment. I have a tendency to drop them and pick up another ha. Growing up we didn't have money for video games, it was either troop down to the library and swipe my card for one hour of blissful gaming on the public computer, or read a book. I loved them since I can remember they enrich your mind, also they improve your brain in so many ways, your vocabulary and grammar is increased by a thousand-fold if you avidly read. Plus it is better than sitting in front of a television just letting the motion picture scroll by senselessly without even really thinking till the end of the movie. A book for me is like a movie, I can read it and get the same enjoyment as watching a high definition T.V  or even more. I can recall the first book I ever read and it was The Hobbit. Everyone loves and knows about that book so there is no need to go into but lets just say that's were the seeds were planted for many more page turning, riveting moments all in the space of my own room.
I was really picky when it came to choosing epic fantasy series because of how big of a commitment it causes, but after Lord of the Rings I was hooked and I even lowered my standards a bit. By doing that I figured out that I need to give books/authors more of a chance. That's how I got introduced too the Wheel of Time series and I can say that I like it even more than the Lord of the Rigs series. It's like it in some ways, how it spans across many different sect, tribes/political systems. There is also a singular evil that all the other dark sides of the series focuses around called The Dark One. Sounds familar right? The heroes are a lot more likable than a hairy footed little person that's for sure. It's more like the Heroes of the story are Gandalf and friends, instead of the Hobbits. The Heroes in Lord of the Rings are more of supporting roles and not the actual main story line for the exception of the forgotten heir to the throne. Which there is also in W.O.T! His name is Lan and he is the Warder to the Aes Sedai, Moraine.
This brings me to the explanation of who the Aes Sedai are, I gave it a lot of thought and the best way to describe them are like Jedi who are a lot more cool and composed without the light sabers of course. That is why they have Warders! They let them do all the heavy work. Aes Sedai are bound by The Oath Rod which makes them Speak no Lies. Never Use the Power Against Humankind. To Fight The Darkness Until Death. They all reside in the White Tower and is controlled by Mother, The Amirlyn Seat.
It starts out in a small town with three friends who become the Tavern of the world. The threads of reality tear apart and morph around them to accommodation and fulfill The Dragon Prophecy. Rand al Thor is the Dragon Reborn ad he dosen't even know it. Well that is all I'm going to release about the series did I mention it's a 10+ book series with 600 pages on average? It's a amazing read and I hope I interested you enough to start it. I ha.e nothing but praise so far, it's made for girls and guys! Both genders can appreciate it.
It's sad too say that Robert Jordan passed away but his work was carried on with a outline that he wrote when he was even so sick he couldn't get out of bed pretty amazing right?? I have nothing but love for the author and he has Brandon Salazar carrying on his work. Please give it a chance I know you'll love it, if you don't then give it a shot for the first hundred pages you might not know what you are getting into until the next couple chapters.

I absolutely love the Wheel of Time series. However, I can't seem to find anybody with a copy of the sixth book. Even the public library lacks it So I'm sort of stuck. By the time I read it, I'll have to re-read the entire series!

That's very weird and very cool because that's the book I'm reading and just finished. You're in for a very good story. A lot of things come together in this part of the series. I encourage you to stake it out and wait until you get the book because you'll miss a bunch of important things. That's really awesome you're reading it. Not a lot of people are willing to give it a chance or pick it up. Usually because they say it's more reading than they can handle. But the more the better I say.

May I ask who is your favorite character and what's
the favorite part of the story that you like so far? Also who do you like out of the Forsaken? Haha sorry if it's a lot of questions but I finally get to talk to someone about the series. The only other person that I know of that has read the series has been my cousin and he owns has the whole series!

Sameel :

I know one person who owns the entire series but he will not let anyone borrow them. And I never see him anyhow. And yea - too much reading, not enough real readers. As for my favorite character - probably gotta be Mat. However, it's been quite a number of months so I don't remember any of it that clearly. I really liked Mat before he went and got all f***ed up by the knife. Not quite so sure after that. I also like the giant guy... trying to remember his species. But he left home too early.

That's so rude he won't let you borrow, it's not like he is reading it but whatevs people are rude. Mat does get better! He is really rude and selfish for awhile so I can see why you don't like him at that time. The giant guy that'd be Loial! He left his Stedding and that caused him to get induced with the Longing which will make him die if he is gone to long. I find it really funny and cute that he's running away from his wife haha that cracks me up! Loial starts getting a smaller and smaller part in the story which makes me sad but he eventually has to go back so I can why Mr. Jorden did that. If I could mail you the book I would! I love it when other people read and more when I can help them out. Sorry about your luck, maybe you could ask your local library to get it mailed to you? They do that over here in Oregon but I'm not sure if it is a popular sort of thing.

Sameel :

Well, the issue is that the local library does not have the series at all. It's right down the road but useless since it doesn't have the series. And yea, Loial is who I was talking about. I just can't remember the species x.x It is rather amusing that he's running from his wife, but I can totally understand why. Lol! Same to the part about Loial slowly disappearing from the story

I meant ask the local library to get it mailed for you from a partnering library. Like I said before they do that here but I'm not so sure any other place does that. It's very helpful, by that way I got many books from different libraries, either because it was so popular or it just wasn't in stock. The species your talking about they're called Orgier. Big friendly giants but if you piss them off oh my gosh it's a sight to see. Through out the books it looks like they're very emotional people and are affected by whatever is around them. Sounds like me a bit haha.

Ktanaqui : Is the library system computerized? The library system in this county is linked so you can request books from another library and have it sent to the one nearest you.

Oh, boy. I haven't read those book in a while. Now that they're finally done (ish, you know how it goes) I'm going to have to pick them back up and start over from the beginning.

My one and really only problem with those books was the sheer amount of characters; I was starting to have to keep checking to see who was who as the cast list started to swell into double digits. I know that other series do that as well, but for some reason it seemed worse in this series.

I can't even remember the last book I read in the series-I think it was the Path of Daggers. I think it was at that point I decided to stop until they were all out. When A Memory of Light finally comes out (this month?) then I'll buy them all and re-read them.

The system is computerized. I don't know if they'll let me order but I will try. Thank you for the suggestion; being that I got use of very few libraries, it's sort of a new world to me. ._.
