I think Snoop dog realised that Rap Music has changed and that he's no longer a "major" player in the Rap music industry. Yes he'll still make albums and concerts; but hes become more of what Dr. Dre is now.

I think he realized that he wanted to do something else with his life other than rap music.  All of us have to make decisions to go away from the thing we love eventually anyways.

Snoop Dogg has stated that Dr. Dre is surrounding himself with the wrong people, causing a rift in the relationship between the two rappers in early 2011. www.buygw2golds.com

Snoopy DO double G ain't the same anymore. In Facebook he uploads pictures which make him look all Reggae and stuff. With the Rastafari hats and shirts and everything. Maybe he had one or two blunts too much xD !

Hip Hop is dead anyways. Nowadays music is all about ELECTRO and to be honoust, i hate it ! I love instruments so much and nice little sound effects, but today no matter what you listen, everything is electro.

Hip Hop = Electro
Pop = Electro
Rap = Electro
R'n'B = Electro
Rock = Electro / DubStep

I hope one day we'll go back to good old instruments !

Nah man, Snoop Lion.

Lets hope that he revives Raggae, because that's such a great genre that nobody makes anymore.

Gonna have to agree across the board here, on a number of points, actually..

Firstly, we can be honest: It IS a little weird and outta the blue... but it makes perfect sense when you think about the life he lived as a younger buck and the wisdom that comes with age.. Plus, he's a ganja-head so, naturally, there's gonna be that voice inside wondering why we can't all "just get along". Ha ha.

Second, go take a listen to that track called 'La la la'. Quality stuff. Got an old-school flavor on it.. and while some might argue for it's being unpolished or forced (Etc.), there is a heavy possibility that, as stated, he could revitalize the genre.. While there is a lot of great reggae-esque music being put out, especially in the fields of Ragga and Dub, we really don't have a driving force in the genre anymore.. at least, not in the states. I think the closest we come are the 'Skunk' offshoots from the Sublime/311 era (Rebelution, The Expendables, etc).

I support him. Not just for doing what he feels / being true to himself, however that may be, but also because his high-profile may bring the ideals of peace, ganja, and good music to a wider audience. People tend to listen to somebody who is famous, especially if they respect or are a fan of their music.

Man, never realized I had so much to say about the Dee oh Dubba Duggs. Ha.

Long live good Hip-hop and Reggae... Though weak, not dead.

Is he still making music? It seems the only time I ever see him, he's doing stupid drug-related cameos in drug-related movies that my brother thinks are awesome but I tend to find juvenile.
