I use my kart to go to the bottom of the ocean. I retrieve the pokeball and give it to Yoshi who poops out an egg.  I have Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres guard it.

Unfortunately since i'm an ice type it actually isn't super effective. I swipe the ball from lolcat after knocking it out with a super strong Brick Break attack and then hide it within the depths of my shirt so that only a female would aim for it.
