GAMEPLAY A-: The gameplay is quite good. The controls are good as well. There's something about each level that makes you want to play them. The first level requires thinking and chance taking chances the 50m level requires more timing skill, the 75m level requires more skill then the rest. The 100m level requires multitasking to be done sometimes. So any kind of gamer can get good at this game. The controls are responsive but Mario seems to be a little clumsy. He's as agile in this game as he would eventually be. Another problem is the how if you fall from a high height Mario will die. Those are only minor problems though and that's just part of the game.

GRAPHICS A-: The graphics are vibrant and colorful. Very few games could match this games great graphics. There's detail in every one of the sprites. The red metal bars really look like metal bars. Another thing I have to praise for the graphics is the level design. The level designs are simple but they are well done. They are done better then even most games from today. Like many arcade games the graphics are more vibrant then the graphics of games done on consoles.

SOUND B: The sound is really, really muffled. It's hard to listen to the sound but if you turn the volume up you can hear some great sound effects. They sound very real. I'm not kidding!

ADDICTIVENESS A: The original Donkey Kong will keep you on for hours trying to get a high score. Like many arcade games, its a bit tricky. With practice though you can easily get a good score.

DEPTH A: Many arcade games only had one screen. Donkey Kong however packs in 4 fun entertaining screens. Each of them has a distinct feel. You start out playing 2 screens then you play 3 screens and then you play all 4 screens.

DIFFICULTY MEDIUM HARD: Out of all the ports for this game. The original is the hardest. Donkey Kong throws a lot more barrels then in the console versions and the enemies seem to be a bit smarter. It does not surprise me, because arcade machines are built to be hard.

Nice review. I do remember playing Donkey Kong many years ago, although I'm not sure if it was in the arcade or for a system. The first game to feature Mario and a setup for the most successful gaming franchise ever. This is a fun game to pull your hair out trying to reach Princess Peach and have Donkey Kong to move her away over and over and over again.

Donkey Kong is 1 of my favorite games and I just wish they would make more and more of them so I can beat the new series of Nintendo games because I like all the classic games of ranging from Mario to Sonic and also ranging to some of the newer day games like Need For Speed Undercover to all the gene's like Donkey Kong which is a platform game with some fighting commends and is also a good adventure game between the ape and the others please I beg the creator to make a lot more Donkey Kong because I have been waiting years and years for the Wu u come out and hope u guys make a Donkey Kong game for that system u guys made some epic Donkey Kong games in the past so for people please make 1 for the Wu u because it can handle more better with the controls I hear they are no longer motion censored I heard from a friend I like the Donkey Kong series up to today's Donkey Kong but I would like to see 1 come out for the Wu u please in all doubly I bet the Wu u could make Donkey Kong good like the older gene's of Donkey Kong
