I've played Pokemon Yellow for about 3-4 days now, and it's great. I want to see what you think of my team, even though it's not done yet.
   Pikachu (duh.), Nidorino (soon to be Nidoking), Charmeleon (soon to be Charizard), Squirtle (soon to be Blastoise), and Articuno (haven't caught yet.)
   You might say that using a legendary is cheap. I don't feel like raising some other bird pokemon.
   So please post your team for a suggestion on a future team. I'll even read your Red or Blue teams. Just please specify which game you're talking about. Thanks.

   However, this incredibly stupid thing in the 1st generation of Pokemon is....
   Charizard can't learn fly.
   In the 2nd generation and on, Charizard has a flying sub-type. That's why I'm catching Articuno.
   Your team sounds great! It's almost the same as my friend's team, only he has Pikachu, Charizard, Blastoise, Venasaur, Mew, and Pidgeot.
   I really disagree on your opinion about Mew. How is he (she?) not very strong if his stats are extremely high at a low level?
   Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if you meant to say, Yes, Mew is a Legendary, but a very strong one, or something like that.
   I might change my mind about Articuno and get Pidgeot, but I don't know. Oh and one other thing; I found out that Nidorino evolves with a Moon Stone.

mine is mew(leveling up), nidoking(leveling up), pikachu(plan on a aquachu(pikachu+poliwag) by glitching), charmilion(leveling up to charizard), mewtwo(in the future), and zapdos.

tangyphoenix : Well, First, Charizard can learn Fly, but only in Yellow.  Not on Blue or Red. Second, Mew's total base stats add up to 500 (600, once special was divided into two stats). Now that is good, but all the other legendaries in this game are better than that.  But the main reason I said that, is because I'm just looking for an excuse. And yes, Moon Stones will evolve both Nidorino and Nidorina.

   Wow. And I consider myself a Pokemon expert! This morning on my way to school, my best friend had his GBC with him (as usual), and I asked him which one of his party Pokemon knew fly. He said, 'Pidgeotto' and I mentioned that he could've taught Charizard fly. He got out HM 02 and saw that Charizard could learn fly. So thanks for letting me know. I still don't know why you say Mew isn't the best legendary.   HIS STATISTICS ARE ALL 99 (I think or it might be 999 :/). I guess you're entitled to your own opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. But hey, I learned something new about Pokemon!

Great team! Mine is Pikachu,Wartortle(soon to be Blastoise),Charmeleon(soon to be Charizard),Venusaur,Clefable and Chansey(because Chansey can heal Pokemon after battle if it learns softboiled).

My team is: Pikachu, Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Primape, and Pidgeot ( I like Pidgeot a lot, that's why I have him)
All LVL 65 at Elite Four.
By the way, a little bit of Poke physiology for yea, Mew is statistically the weakest legendary in Gen 1, having a 500 base stat. (600 Gen 2 onward.
Also, Charizard not being able to learn Fly in the other games, Red, Blue, and Green, was actually a glitch. The programmers let Charizard learn Fly, but the game acted up when you taught him Fly. It would glitch out.
Another quick fact for yea. Just letting you know, Primape is a very good choice to use, because it is the fastest Fighting type in the game.
But back to Mew on your guys teams. Mew is the only Pokémon to learn all TM's and all HM's. And not only that, but it is also the only Pokémon that knows Pound at level 5, other than Piplup. But anyway, it is your guys opinion, but I can recommend using Mew or not. Now for using Mewtwo, again that's your opinion, but my opinion is you want to use it, because it has the highest base stat in Gen 1, while it's mother, Mew has the lowest legendary base stat. However, Mewtwo does not get the right moves at the right time. He gets Confusion at LVL 5, while his Special (Special Attack in Gen 2 onwards) is lowest, at 8. While he learns his next physical at a pretty bad time, with I believe 24 Attack.
Mewtwo is the best legendary base stat wise, but learns the wrong moves at wrong time.
Now it's time to let you guys know why my team is good in my opinion. Pikachu has Thunder, Dig, Thunderbolt, and Body Slam. Charizard has Flamethrower, Fly, Fire Blast, and Hyper Beam. Blastoise has Surf, Strength, Earthquake, and Ice Beam. Venusaur has Razor Leaf, Mega Drain, Hyper Beam, and Solar Beam. Primape has Mega Punch, Thunderbolt, Dig, and Low Kick. Pidgeot has Fly, Hyper Beam, Rest, and Sky Attack.
Now I will end it of on one note. I respect both of your teams, I think they are both good. But if you guys are looking for a new team, I would recomend using the on at the top of the post, Pikachu, Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Primeape, and Pidgeot. I would replace Pidgeot with Mewtwo or somthing. Maybe a Koffing. Either way, thanks for taking your time to read this very long post. Bye!
