I poked around for this thread, but couldn't find one that addressed the Pokémon game specifically.

They seriously made a game about Pokémon rebelling against their trainers. An explanation can not do it justice. Suffice to say they have clearly never watched the anime. They got Ash so wrong it's not even funny.

That... is maybe the dumbest thing I have seen in a while. But really, it's PETA, so I shouldn't be surprised... maybe more surprising is that it took them this long to take a shot at Pokemon. They've been busy going after games that have even less in them that could be picked on.

I wonder if it's possible for game companies to sue them for slander. Maybe that will stop this nonsense.

I don't think so, I think it's possible what they are doing is legal under the rules of parody. And even if it wasn't, they don't care, they'll do anything to get public attention. So suing them is giving them attention. Either way, they get what they want, which is attention.

I actually had the chance to play the game. And well uh. It sucked.

Basically, you start out with a pikachu and fight one of the trainers from black and white. Then you win and get another pokemon to use, which is good against the next trainer, who happens to be Professor Juniper. Then you get another which is good against the next trainer, who happens to be Ghetis. Who spoils black and white a little if you haven't finished it. Get one last pokemon, who you use against Ash, who is really easy to beat.

All the trainers get beaten up, and just agreed with you once you beat them.

You also get a break in between battles where you open chests to get in order, a sad video about animals being abused or something (I dunno, I actually closed out of the window once I realized it sucked), a downloadable wallpaper (which is now my desktop background for shiggles), and a downloadable collection of fake cards.

All in all, worth checking out if you want to see it yourself.

   This is a simply horrible game.  Professor Juniper, a PROFESSOR who enjoys HELPING POKEMON gets portrayed as a scalpel-slashing, syringe-stabbing maniac. This is to be expected from PETA, though, as they made a game called "Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals". That game, just like Pokémon, was a harmless game about everyday actions (Whether fictional or realistic).

   And to add insult to injury, they had a Pikachu with a sign saying "I support Team Plasma!". I don;t think they know that now Team Plasma is attempting to- surprise, surprise- use Pokémon to take control of the world/their area/the economy/the government.
  
   And don't even get me started on the Mario parody. Mario wears a faux-fur Tanooki outfit to look like one and blend in. He id the same thing for the frog. Does PETA really think that Mario is going to pull a frog skin over his body and it will FIT?

   Honestly, I'm not quite sure what's going through the minds of those people at PETA, but I'll tell you this: ruining childhood memories won't help your cause. Skinless Tanookies, Murdering Mothers, and Pikachus beaten black and blue are definitely not going to get people to think Hey, look at those disgusting things in video games. Lets stop animals from being stuck in little red and white balls in real life!. No. People realize that this is a video game. And has PETA made a parody of "Call of Duty", or any HUMAN fighting games? Nope. PETA cares more about animals than they do about their own species. Those people, pardon my saying, are stupid enough not to think things through before doing them.

BNuge : So I pretty much did the same thing as you did, but it was Memebases Pokememes page that led me to look it up. It drove me crazy, since I am a huge Pokémon fan and have never once hurt an animal and even love animals and I support Peta1 (the ones that are not crazy lol) and so I did more searching and found that it is not exactly for real, they are just trying to get more attention to their company. Still though you can't just suddenly do that, I mean come on Peta do you know how long Pokémon has been around? If they really had a problem with it, they would have spoken up a long time ago. Also don't you think Peta should focus more on real animals rather than fictional creatures?

This game is insane in so many ways, but you have to give them credit. The game at least tries to look into the pokemon games since they did bring up a lot of events from black/white (many people say that they ruin childhood dreams, i say that they are spoiling the games, i did not know about Ghetsis until black and blue spoke about it). 

I still wonder what audience they were trying to attract. Children are not going to visit PETA´s website and hardcore loyal fans will immediately smell the bulls*** from this "game". That only leaves people who never played pokemon before or people who disliked it, but what use is it to reach out to these people?

Issues regarding animal abuse can be debated, but when you draw the parallel between real life animals and fictional Japanese creatures, both will come off looking ridiculous. An issue like this deserve a real debate, away from these kind of fundamentalist groups. 

Also...calling Ash a slave driver? Hasn't he risked his own life for Pikachu countless of times. He doesn't even keep him in a pokeball...

Just as expected by PETA..
There some things I think about it:

1.they thing more about animal species more than humans.
2.What the heck they thinked when maked this game?And what public they want?
3.I thinked PETA focused more in REAL animals than FICTIONAL Japanese animals.
4.I even played this game to see what I was going to expect,I even skipped the video to not see some gross video.

Whatever,it's expected,because they maked "parodies" of other games like Mario,Cooking Mama being "evil"

I just saw a south park parody of PETA...it was disturbing,This was stupid,PETA is stupid and I would like to see a PETA metroid game as a joke

This is stupid. If the characters weren't bloody and it wasn't sad I would of actually liked it.

I am all for animal rights but Peta is just morronic. They have a knack of fighting old and already lost causes, making stupid "games" like these,trying to claim cats can live on vegan diets and so on. Oh and I forgot having campains where washed up celebreties shoq some skin. If you want to tell America to stop eating meat,you got to love those tits!

As for me, I find their televangelist tactics just horrible.
