... Just passed away this morning at 11:00. But he was a Christian so I will be seeing him again. James Kuenstler, died at the age of 88, and was a great man. He served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II, and he survived through the Great Depression, so I'm very proud to have had a grandfather who had done so many things. He has been suffering in the past 6-8 months, so I'm happy that he is with the Lord and is up in heaven praising Him.

My condolences on your loss. It sounds like you have a positive outlook, which is good. It's never a good idea to dwell on death, but instead praise life. If you can say positive things about the life someone has led and celebrate that, you're on the right track.

My Grandpa died 2 years ago, so I can totally feel for ya. I also share your feelings on being able to see him again, the last notable thing my Grandpa did was give money to a small local Christian organization that does a few services like give away food and clothing.

I had grandfathers on both sides of my family who served in the military, one of whom I lived with along with my family. It has been almost six years since we lost him and I will be honest with you when I say it still feels like it just happened. I try and remember the good times and how he was always supportive of my writing and the advice he use to give me when I was messing up. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss him or think of him.

My thoughts are with you and your family. Stay strong.
