Today, Monday September 8th, before 8 'o clock, one more person literally left this world forever.

I'm talking about my grandmother, some days ago she got sick having problems to breath, needed to go to hospital some times to take medicine, but now the worst happened, she got cold and her heartbeat dropped to 0.

If you couldn't get the message, my grandmother died, even if I'm greatly bothered by the fact she had problems with her sons that they dislike her, I felt bad at her death, not that I am sad, or crying or something for her death, but she suffered a lot on her last years, all she was looking for was the forgiveness of the sons according to my mother... But due to her past, she could not reach it, what a terrible condition to die...

Before she died, the medics came and tried whatever they could to make her react, but they failed and they gave the message she would not get up again.

Believe me, this is a not a joke, this really happened, at this exact moment my mother and my father are leaving to go to where my grandmother is.

I know how it feels to lose someone, and I fear I'm getting closer to a day where my grandmother also leaves the mortal coil.

Remember the good times, and celebrate her life.

She sounds like she meant a lot to you, but you can rest easy knowing she is in a better place now.

But now something bothers me, on the 'Waiter there's a ________ on my soup!' There was a reply about a dead man on his soup, then I made the continuation with a grave on my soup.

Could I possibly knew without exactly knowing that she would die today...?

I remember when my great grandmother died. Actually in about two weeks time, it will be the sixth anniversary of my great Grandmother's death. My actual Grandmother only ended up living half the age of my Great grandmother due to second-hand smoke.


You have my sincerest condolences. I hope you feel okay. I felt the same way you probably do when my great grandmother died; although she was satisfied with her life, I still always felt bad for her for some reason, but I know she wouldn't want you to think in that kind of mindset.

Seishiro Leonhart : Don't say that. You didn't know that she was going to die that day like you said. I'm sure God/Karma didn't punish you for saying that. Anyways just don't regret what you've done in the past, look foward to the future knowing how much your Grandma ment to you.

It is not easy to see a loved one depart from here.  I just recently passed the first year anniversary of my uncle's death.  He died of cancer at the age of 44.  Because of this I can understand your pain.  Remember that you must stay strong.  Enjoy her life in her death and her death as her life.  Remember her legacy and never let it die.

Seishiro Leonhart : I give you my deepest condolences. I know what it feels like to lost a Grandparent. I lost both my Grandparents, 6 month apart from each other back in 2006. It was so hard for me to move on after they left this world. We always went to visit them every weekend and there are still so many times I still miss seeing them. Hang in there and know that you have friends that are here for you. I'm sorry you lost your Grandmother and the way she left this world, it is truly sad.

I'm sorry for your loss. Your story somewhat reminds me of one told by a good friend of mine. His grandmother was very critical of his mother and they had a lot of trouble getting along. This bothered him. Eventually, his grandmother's health declined. She had a stroke and couldn't live alone anymore. His mother had to move in with her to take care of her. Well... she didn't have to... she could have sent her to a nursing home instead... but despite how mean the grandmother was to the mother at times, the mother still didn't wanna do something that cruel (she knew the grandmother would be miserable in a home).

Anyway, his grandmother also experienced breathing problems and was rushed to a hospital before she passed. I guess that's what reminded me of this. I do wonder what she truly felt and if she ever wanted to repair the damage in her strained relationship with her daughter.

I'm not a religious person in the least, but some people do believe that our thoughts can still reach people after they've passed on. If that's the case, I do hope your grandmother's sons do come to forgive her and that this sentiment reaches her soul or whatever so she can know peace.

Aw man, i'm so sorry to hear that i know it must be hard. When my grandmother died i wasn't around. So i couldn't really say goodbye or express myself but i got through it. And i hope you get through this too.

I wish I was good at comforting, but I've always been terrible at it.  However, I do want to offer my condolences just like everyone else.  I've never lost a relative I'm close to, and I count myself blessed because of that.  It was hard when one of my old friends from years ago had to experience her mother's death.... and I didn't even really know their mother!

I'm glad however, that she won't be suffering any more.
