Are there any particular serial killers that come to mind? What are your thoughts about why you think they kill? Do you think they can change and stop killing? Name some serial killers you heard of and tell us your thoughts.

I often think of Ted Bundy, the Unibomber or the Green River Killer. I often ask myself why serial killers want to kill. I don't understand why they get the urge to murder other people and then go around and acting like everything is completely normal. It just boggles my mind whenever I think about it.

I don't study serial killers to really know much about them, though Ted Bundy did come to mind, yes. I think my answer would be unacceptable to most, but I believe that honestly and truly, they are simply possessed by terribly demonic spirits.  There is no way such a person could ever be in God's good graces.  They must have been surrounded by demonic influences for long enough that they became what they did.

I am so glad that someone had posted this, I am deeply into things like this. I know it is a little weird but I like to try to figure out how people like that work, what makes them decide to do these sort of things. A few of my most favorite cases would have to be:
The Manson Family
The Black Dahlia Murder (I don't really count this one as "serial killer" but it is still interesting)
The Zodiac Killer
Ed Geins
I have read a bunch of books and seen a few movies on a lot of serial killers and I try my best to learn all that I can about them to see if I can somehow tap into what made them who they are, and why.

I have a book on some of the most infamous serial killers. I don't recall the name of the book, it's packed away in my closet somewhere. But it was pretty interesting. it's one of those books you see when you go up to the cashier at the grocery stores and they have those little books, I bought it like a long time ago. I sometimes will research serial killers cases and the stuff I've come across, wow, I can't see how they can do such things and act like nothing even happened.

I often wonder why they do it but afterward they act like it's completely normal. I saw a movie recently about a serial killer, it was based on a true story, and the guy would kill someone and then act like nothing was wrong. It was quite creepy and disturbing.

I did an informative paper on Charles Manson when I was in high school, and after the teacher read it and everything she said it was the most disturbing papers she has ever read but it had the most information out of the whole class so I got the highest grade lol I was so amused XP
