As for the gaming night, any user who has the Laptop or Netplay item from the shop can start netplay games that any user can join--regardless of if they have those items. If you wanted to host a weekly game night playing something, feel free to post about it in one of the Video Games threads. This would be a more than welcome sight.

About the video thing, I tried to host a weekly movie night months ago, probably back in February or March. It went over well with the members, but lack of support from Davideo made it hard to get people on board. He said that he wouldn't officially sanction it unless he did it himself, and he didn't know how, so it just sort of fell by the wayside.


By the by, I'm thinking about starting to do live Lets Plays of various games with KG, we set up a stream of the game and a chatroom for it, and play the game and have some fun with it. I think I want to start doing it with some sort of schedule, and that kind of falls in with what you mentioned.

Too bad there wasn't a way to play some board games online with each other.  Wouldn't that be a hoot?!  But I'm sure most of you would rather play video games. XD

I'm all for a game night... but how do you determine when "game night" is? Especially the "night" part. People do live in different timezones, so you'd probably need a fairly large window to give people a chance.

Also, would this be one person hosting and everyone else joining, or multiple organizers hosting so as to spare lag?

I'm really close to qualifying for the netplay item via the screenshot contest, so if you need more hosts, I would be up for that. I'm very experienced with netplay on the base emulators that Vizzed uses.

Singelli : I actually agree with you. There are some really fun board games out there... and only a few rare sites that offer a limited selection for online play. Though some board games have digital version on consoles (like Monopoly has a variety of console version)... but I'm not sure how many options there are out there.

We don't have to have like one person host. We can even just make it gaming days instead of just night ones that way others will have the opportunity to join in. I might just makes a post after this in the game forums so we can swap ideas and see what would work the best.

I would love to play board games online. I actually enjoy those more than I do video games. I grew up playing only board games since we couldn't afford the game systems that were available back then.
