This isn't really a problem, more like a suggestion. Can a staff member or someone that fixes the RGR plugin add a mute option to the RGR simulater? Because I want to watch something as I play. It's a simple request, can someone please add it?

I don't think that is addable without a lot of changing for something so small. But there is a way to do without go to your sound manager and mute the game window and all your windows wouldnt be affected but that one.

It's not TOTALLY unreasonable... because almost every emulator has an option to disable sound... so if a button was added to trigger that function in every emulator, this would be doable... but is it worth coding that in?

As pokemon x suggest, you can mute the game yourself. Single-click the volume control icon to bring up the thing where you can adjust your volume and click on "Mixer". From there, you can choose to mute your web browser and no sounds within it will play. Though if what you're watching is also in the same browser... that might complicate things.

A mute button would be rather wonderful... since I'm often using Youtube as I play on Vizzed... I am unable to use the RGR or have to kill my music. And my music is what gives me the ability to even post so much. (It's relaxing for me.)

Just make a right click over volume icon... Then click on "Volume Mixer".

If you're playing a game, there will be two Browser windows... One of these is the window of the game, turn down the volume of that one, and done!

However, I must agree that a mute button is more convenient than that...

The way that my computer works is by program, not by individual windows. I can have a million windows open but "Google Chrome" will only be listed in my Mixer once. It's an unfortunate thing; I miss being able to mute individual windows.

That's why I want this Mute button so bad. The lack of is keeping me out of the RGR.

The real problem in having a mute option is that disabling the sound in a hardware level (that is, when you mute the sound in an emulator), games are much more prominent to crashes and other weird glitches/bugs. So, not only it will be hard to code, it will also make the experience worse for those who use it!

I think having a mute button on the games would be a great idea... I have been wanting this for awhile. I like listening to my music when playing games on Vizzed, and the game's music gets in the way a lot.

I have managed to use the mixer solution to mute the chrome window that has my RGR and I am still able to get sound from my other chrome window

However, if the mixer on your pc / laptop doesn't differentiate between different windows (meaning you can only mute "chrome" and it mutes all chrome windows) and a mute button or volume control is too problematic to develop and / or implement, perhaps this suggestion might provide a solution:

Have Vizzed and your RGR windows open in one browser (say, chrome) and your music / movie / tv show / youtube window open in a different browser (say, firefox)
You should then be able to mute chrome and still have volume on your other browser for your music, youtube etc.

I hope this helps anyone having problems with sound
