I only like one of their very early CD's called ''Dookie''. They seemed to have a unique sound than, that unfortunately they slowly began moving away from. They were less commercialized at that point and closer to punk-rock - alternative.

No. I'm a huge fan of Post-Punk and Hardcore Punk, as well as the most of the fathers of punk (For some reason I can't stand Ramones), but like NW I cannot stand most Pop Punk, though I do see the appeal. I will say though, Dookie is a great album for that 90's nostalgia feel and American Idiot isn't a bad album.

I also really like 21 guns, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake me up when September Ends, and a few others. I haven't really explored much into Green Day. I like a few songs, however, I honestly am very irritated whenever I hear the singer speak (okay, not all the time). Being "Giants fans" only goes so far for me.

Edit: I forgot to mention, back when I was much younger and just beginning to really get into music, I had planned on purchasing their American Idiot album. However, my Dad had to stop at the supermarket first for something. While there, I noticed a CD compiling Black Sabbath's greatest hits. On a whim, I bought this instead. I still look back and wonder what road I would have taken had I bought that Green Day album instead. BTW, I mostly listen to Hip-Hop and R&B/Soul and Jazz and Electronic stuff now with some Rock.

Some of their songs are fine, but all the F bombs are too much. For some reason, swearing in songs is about 100 times worse than swearing while talking, which I can't stand either. But it seams like their new songs aren't the same.

I used to really like Green Day. I had a really great love of Nimrod and my favourite song was Haushinka. Dookie wasn't a bad album either. But I don't like how things have leaned towards pop punk. This seems to have happened to a lot of bands I once loved, take The Offspring for example.

I liked Green Day (my first album I bought was American Idiot). I liked their old stuff, but their new stuff just doesn't sound that good to me. If I had to choose a favorite song from the album, I'd probably fail at doing so They're all pretty magnificent in my opinion, but the closest to achieving number one would probably be either Restless Heart Syndrome, Christian's Inferno, or East Jesus Nowhere, Nya~.
