That happens to every Pokémon games. Red, Blue, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Fire red, and Leaf Green are the weirdest and almost always ruined by trees or any other objects.

I thought this was just on the hacks. It has never happened to me, but how does it happen?  I want to make sure I'm safe. Sounds like it sucks, though. Having your whole game ruined, BY A TREE!

If I recall correctly, it occurs if you enter a tree and save inside? Does that sound about right? I dunno... it's been YEARS since I first heard about this glitch. I think it actually started in Gold/Silver, but I could be totally off (or thinking about the wrong glitch perhaps).
