Ok... so hopefully these questions haven't all been answered a million times already. I also hope they actually qualify as "General Help".  I looked long and hard for a "search" feature in the forum so I could actually check to see if topics on any of these already existed... but there didn't seem to be such a function. Am I just blind or does this forum really not have a search function? If it doesn't, that would probably be a good thing to add to cut down on repeat questions.

Anyway, here are some things I've been wondering:

1. It said that you can rate games somewhere, but I'm not seeing that option at all. I looked all over the game's page, but there wasn't anything that looked like I could assign a rating. I thought at first maybe games could only get scores off the ratings you enter in a review... but then I saw games with scores and 0 reviews. I must be missing something.

2. I'm not sure I understand the whole "owned games" list concept this site uses. From what I observed, it just throws whatever you play into "owned games". It seems to me more like something the user would set (e.g. if you actually own a physical copy of said game, you could designate this somehow).

3. I noticed that in the RGR when you save a state, it says it saves to slot 0. This implies there are other slots. Can you actually change slots to make use of others or is each person limited to slot 0 so that the number of save states doesn't get out of hand?

4. When writing reviews, it says no HTML formatting is allowed at all. Is BB code ('['b']' tags for example) also forbidden in them? What about if you click the buttons for bold/italics/etc from the editor itself? I would imagine this technically produces HTML coding by nature, but the user wouldn't have actually tried entering HTML on their own. Could they still get in trouble for doing stuff like bolding headers and whatnot?

Even on regular posts, I read HTML isn't allowed by at least the newer members. But if I click the buttons on the editor to do the formatting, wouldn't that make HTML code which would be a no-no? Or is basic stuff like what the editor creates okay to use?

Crazy Li : To answer your first question, there is a section above the three screenshots shown for the game. This shows where it is. http://puu.sh/17DeQ

As for your second question, games cost Viz to play. Every time you play a game, you're "purchasing" it with Viz. It will show on your game profile and you can play them without paying Viz.

i'm not 100% sure as to the answer to your third question, but my guess is probably no.

To answer your fourth question, I think so. I believe that bold and italics are allowed in your review. As for the BB thing, I'm not too good with coding so i don't know.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I wasn't seeing that rating area there yesterday when I looked. But it does appear now when I checked today. It's pretty obvious. It just wasn't showing up before. I also noticed it will only show on games you've paid to play on Vizzed, so you can't just rate games you grew up on or anything unless you give them a play through this site.

I do hope you're right that bold is allowed in review posts (can anyone confirm?). It makes them look better if you have multiple sections you want assess one-by-one (such as graphics, sound, etc...). You can bold the name of the section to set it apart. I also prefer using italics for emphasis on a single word. It's more tasteful than writing it out in all caps.

Does anyone know about the WYSIWYG editor, though? Like... is it safe to use that to add formatting? I mean, it seems silly to even have it on the site if it's not but I just don't want to get in trouble because I "used HTML" when I wasn't supposed to.
