I have a bad habit of biting my nails as well. I also have a problem with keeping eye contact with other people. Its a problem with my self esteem since I have a bad case of shyness.

Chewing on things is an annoying habit of mine.  I hate that i have to buy new pens because I demolished to cap.

I draw cats all over pretty much EVERYTHING, I can't even sit and take notes at school anymore without doodling ten zillion cats all over the paper.
I also chew on my fingers a lot, and tend to speak before thinking which can lead to a lot of awkward situations...

I have a bad habit of biting the finger nails, there was times that I bit my nails so much that the flesh of my nail appeared, that soft red ball on my finger hurts when I pressed it.

Believe me, this is not something cool, but no matter how much I try I can't stop biting them, I had this habit since I was a kid.

Ktanaqui : Hmm.... my most annoying habit is being lazy. It's really, really, bad sometimes. I just can't bring myself to do what I need to. Dumb, right?

My boyfriend does that too. It drives me crazy but I guess I'm getting used to it now. Or, at least, I quit getting onto him for it. He says "Sorry" but then he also says that it doesn't matter because it's outside. He's also a master at making excuses and / or putting blame off on other people...

Really? That's a completely new one... (Not having an annoying habit at all.) I bet it's nice. However, your classmate being annoying? I had quite a few of those... most of them did it deliberately too. Teacher never did anything either, which was the worst part. The main guy's name was Donovan. He did it deliberately for attention and always got away with it even though all the teachers knew that it was him.

Biting nails seem to be the most common and annoying habit that I see. Also, apparently, one of the most difficult to break. Eye contact... I don't have a problem with that unless I'm upset. Actually, rather... I have a bit of an issue with having to keep eye contact - as in, so bad that I can't do anything regarding me not to keep contact because it'll cause too many problems. (x.x) Born that shy or developed? Be really, really annoying if it was the latter because well.. then you'd know what it was like before the shyness. (Maybe, anyhow)

I had the really bad habit of doing that to my pens while I was at school. I learned to start keeping other things on me to chew... of course, they never lasted long though. I'd run out of "chewables" before the day was out. Didn't have enough room to store enough since backpacks were banned.

Soft red ball? Whaddya mean... I know that if I chew on my nails, they start to bleed and hurt really badly but I don't believe that I've experienced what you're referring to.
And yea, I've had no luck stopping it either. It's the worst thing that I've ever had to experience, self-inflicted anyhow.

I would not call it dumb. I've never thought of classifying my laziness as a bad habit but I suppose it is. I've always classified it as "unmotivated" (which then makes it more medical than habit). However, I suppose it makes sense.
Yea, I suffer from it too. I haven't discovered a cure for that one either.

I'm a spitter. Its less annoying to me and more annoying to those around me but I think it counts.

Yea, see... with my boyfriend, it is because he smokes (cigs). His reason (excuse) is always just "he produces too much spit" or "bad taste." And no matter how many times I say "the bad taste is because you smoke".. Yeah, no difference.

Yeah, so... I'm guilty of one too. However, I don't think that it's /quite/ as bad as nail-biting.

I also semi-wonder if it occurs more often with people who bite their nails.

And 888 cuz that's my favorite number, combined with the fact that I wrote a song about fish in like 3rd grade, to make the name "fishygrl888"
I've never been made fun of or called names for drawing cats though, but I was called "Fish" from 3rd to 5th grade

Annoying habits? I guess my inability to keep my hands in one position on a desk unless I'm writing.

What I mean is that I have to buy new items.  This upsets me.  I get tired of spending money.  Maybe I should just keep food with me all the time lol
