What is the best English dubbed anime show out today.

The best English dubbed Anime today, I couldn't say for certain but if I had to guess, it would be Dragon Ball Z Kai which airs on Cartoon Network. It's really the only Anime I could think of on television nowadays.

Personally, my favorite Anime is Sailor Moon. I've seen both English and Japanese versions of all seasons more than a dozen times, although I prefer the Japanese version. The English dubbed version left out SO many good scenes from the original Japanese version, which they always tend to do.

Dragon Ball Z Kai airs on Cartoon Network ? I thought it aired on Nick Toons.  But I do agree that Dragon Ball Z Kai is on of the best English dubbed animes of today. I don't know if Winx Club is an anime or not.

Probably hetalia,not because the anime is great but because the dubbed voice actors give a damn much more then the Japanese,they actually use accents depending on what country they are(since every character is a personification of a world nation)

Baccano, Durarara, and Gundam Unicorn come to my mind. You may be shocked to see someone praise a gundam dub considering how notorious gundam is for bad dubs, but Gundam unicorn has a genuinely good dub.

The Original Dragon Ball Beats All other anime. DBZ kai was an unnecessary remake. DBZ kai disgraced the entire series and anybody who watched all the original DBZ could not say that it is better in any way. -DBZ forever 

Durarara without a doubt. The casting was top-notch, using the best English voice acting talent this country has to offer.

Other really good dubs that come to mind are: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ouran Highschool Host Club (perhaps the best FUNimation work I've ever heard), Mars Daybreak, Spice and Wolf, Eden of the East, 7 of 7, and School Rumble.

I could easily tell which has the WORST anime dubbing: Garzey's Wing. Look that up if you want a laugh. Because you will laugh.



Bad dubs aside, Dragon Ball Z Kai has pretty good dubbing, but it is also a remastered thing, so I guess it was aiming to be like that.

I think there is also another remastered Dragon Ball Z thing (I completely forget what the sub title of it was but it was indeed Dragon Ball Z I know that for sure). It was meant to have top quality dubbing like Kai, but based far more on the original Japanese version, while Kai just pretty much skips all of the filler stuff whilst being dubbed. Meaning it has swears and stuff like that, probably more so than DBZ Kai does.


Without being remastered, I believe .hack//sign had excellent dub voice acting. I actually strongly compared the dub to the original voice acting in Japanese subtitles. The dubbing was very accurate as far as the dialogue from the original was, and the voices of all the characters fit perfectly -- if not, then almost and were more than convincing enough. However, .hack//sign is pretty old compared to anime now-a-days, and I haven't had time to watch every single dubbed anime out there. There's plenty of space for more, I can only give my opinion on the best dubbing I've seen so far. The other .hacks may have just as good if not better dubbing.

If you're a big fan of DBZ, then DBZ Kai is an unnecessary remake that is better in no way. I do not Recommend DBZ Kai. (Anything else)  

I'm not sure about more recent dubbed anime, but I know one of my favorites to watch dubbed I think would be Desert Punk.  Something about the voices just seem to fit.  I find myself enjoying that anime every time I watch it.

Durarara, Code Geass, Death Note, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya... those are the first few to come to mind honestly. And in that order.

Everybody who worked the first one is a genius. None more so than the voice of Izaya Orihara, Johnny Yong Bosch. He also did the voice of Lelouch in Code Geass, and the voice of Itsuki in Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Familiar of Zero is a good dubbed anime. ^.^

I am a fan of the English Dub of Fullmetal Alchemist, but I have to say that the Japanese dub was much better, but I like listening instead of reading.

The most well done English dub was Death Note, only downside was the fact that the writing was in Japanese, unlike in the manga where the writing was in English.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it but Samurai 7 is a pretty good dubbed anime. A good old school dubbed anime is yu yu hakusho as well.

I honestly have to say Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann gets my vote here. I absolutely loved the English dub and, unlike others, didn't like the Japanese voices much at all, Nya~.

LettersFromNoOne : My personal favorite would have to be Sgt. Frog. you most likely haven't heard of it, but that's still my fav anime, definitely.

Three memorable ones would be: Dragon Ball Z (FUNimation dub), Cowboy Bebop, and Samurai Champloo.
