I nickname them most of the time. Even Pokemon I'm not going to use or release shortly after catching get nicknamed. However there are times when I just can't be bother to nickname them. I have a Aerodactyl that I haven't nicknamed yet.

I nickname pokemon ALL the time-well not all the time, mostly all the time. Sometimes I don't nickname legendary pokemon. Giving pokemon nicknames just brings a stronger bound to them and gives them a personality of some sort. I just name whatever comes to mind, but sometimes I can't think of a good one.

I never nick name my Pokémon because If I came up with a nick name for a Pokémon it would be really stupid and I like the names the way they are because since I'm American these Pokémon names are really fascinating because most of them play a role in the Japanese culture. I also don't nick name my little Pokémon because I am not emotionally attached because it is just a video game not a little puppy. I don't like to nick name Pokémon because it takes up too much time if I nick name a Pokémon in the wild also because I just catch so many Pokémon I would lose track of who is who.
