Hi everyone
I'm looking for suggestions for my autistic nephew for new games, or games new to him that aren't shooting or bloody.

Notes about him:  he can read, but doesn't bother with long tracks of script -  he's not sensitive to motion, color or flashing - he hates the sound of babies crying and suddenly loud sounds.

He loves all the Mario and Luigi games, but unfortunately, he also loves games like the online stick man game where the character gets hurt and blood goes everywhere.  (Sorry I forgot the name of it.)

I'm wondering if there are some widely experienced gamers that can recommend games online or for purchase, that feel like games and fun (not only learning games)  and which would widen his field from near exclusive Super Mario Bros.  Also, if anyone knows of a Stick Man type  game that's not all bloody and murderous that would be very welcome since he loves stick men, (he makes stories about them, draws them, and wants to play games with them, but I won't let him play that one.)

Thanks for any help you guys can offer and please don't worry that I get too many suggestions...he goes through them pretty fast till he finds a favorite.

There are tons of good games for you're child to play. There are the Mario party games with mini games that are fun or he can play super Mario 64, or Mario kart games. It's all about looking around and testing the games yourself to see what you would like you're child to play. It's all about perspective.

I must say that the Mario series is your best bet. There are so many of them! Of course, The Legend of Zelda series is not overly text-heavy, and the action-adventure and puzzle solving make it a winner, too. Pokemon is also a good choice, as is the Megaman series. I could go on for hours!

Aedan : Pokemon is good. the pic below is a pokemon. pokemon involves no blood, just trying to become the greatest pokemon trainer. EarthBound/ Mother would be perfect, too. thirteen year olds trying to save the world from aliens is perfect.

The autistic part isn't a big deal in terms of video games... my little brother is autistic, as is my best friend. Both guys love all sorts of video games. It just depends on the person's specific tastes. Which they -do- have, regardless of autism or not. I'm unaware of any stick figure games... I think those are all online, and most of them violent and bloody. If he likes drawing things, though, he might be interested in Drawn To Life.

Racing? The Burnout series is rather nice. My personal favorite is Burnout 3. My little brother absolutely adores the Burnout series.
First Person Shooters? Call of Duty and Battlefield. There are an endless number of titles between the two. Favorites? Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3.
RPGs? Elebits, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, Shining Force (My favorite Shining Force is Shining Force Neo.)
Simulations? Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing

What consoles/systems do you have in mind, specifically?
