my first shiny was in Pokémon emerald at the battle tower near muffle city. At the first battle the opponents Pokémon was a shiny aspen but I was like 9 so I thought this was a glitch.

The only shiny Pokemon I've ever encountered was in Pokemon Leaf Green version. I was in the battle tower and the opponent used a shiny Espeon. Since then I've never encountered another shiny Pokemon ever even in the other games I have.

I caught a shiny voltorb in fire red and saw a shiny pidgey, but couldn't catch it, one because I had no poke balls, two I was kidding around with my game and got rid of my charizard, didn't save game of course.

About half a year ago I ran into a shiny Drowzee. I had 1 great ball and my only Pokémon with HP was a way too high level Pokémon. Needless to say the great ball failed to catch it and I was almost in tears.

Yes i have found a lot of shiny pokemon but out of all the ones i saw i only caught one and that was a shiny Meowth. If it weren't for other people showing me their shinies I'd swear they don't exist. Everyone I know who plays the games has found at least one and some even have a few of them. I've played the games since Red and Blue up to Black and White and have never seen a single one.
