The X series had something different delivered for Megaman. Normally I'd pick the Classic series, but after playing a few X series games, its pretty obvious that its superior. At least, in my opinion.

I have to go with legends because it's the first 3d Megaman game that was fun but I wish it was longer and for another sequel. Megaman Zero deserves and honorable mention though.

X series tears it a new one, you got upgradable armour,you can dash, u got Zero, you got a actually somewhat realistc storyline instead a goofy looking wily..out of all the X games the first Megaman X to me was the best probally because i can speed run it in less hten an hour including getting every upgrade heart tank an reserve tank plus the hidden upgrade to throw Haduken fireballs....that game was just  epic for its time , i think i liked it so much i ended up somehow woth 2 copies of the game the year it came out on SNES
