I like to have my first date in a public place like a bar or club. I tell her to bring 1 or 2 friends along cause it helps having some friends around I find it gives me more confidence and makes it easier to get to know each other.

I'd go somewhere you can talk to each other and do a physical activity together.  Hiking, bowling, swimming, or running together all sound fun.  Movies sound terrible and dinner is overdone.  I'd be special and different.

An odd question.

I think I would take my first date to a nice restaurant.  Then I would probably take her someplace where we could talk, like a nightclub or a park, or even out on a hike.  (I live where there are woods and trails to hike on). 

For a first date, my goal is to get to know a person, and not just entertain them.  At my age (I'm 56), my date would hopefully like some of the same things I do.  A nice drive in the country (off-road or on road), to see the sights and maybe even a good movie (her choice, of course).

It's hard to say, I haven't gone on a first date since high school, which is to say I've never been on a real first date. I would probably take her out to a restaurant to talk and get to know each other. I would most likely take her somewhere elegant and opique.   I would not bring her to a place just to try to make advances.  I would go to a dance and a beautiful 5 star resturant followed by a walk on the night beach.

Well as a hopless romantic I guess it depends on the type of person I am taking out.   If they tend to like some kind've thing like mini golf or something I'd take then to a nice date playing at one of those parks with the batting cages, mini golf course, go-karts.   If they aren't then maybe dinner and a movie, I just usually take them out to dinner atleast.

Anywhere that is not noisy and where you can talk. On first date you dont even maybe know what the other person likes. Movies and activites can come later. First thing would be to get to know the person. I would suggest going out for coffee or tea. And in a place where you can be sure none of your friends will come and interrupt you.
