I've only truly caught one shiny Pokémon (I caught ALL of them with Action Replay) and that one was a Grimer. I was disappointed that the only shiny Pokémon I found just HAD to be a stinky Grimer! (I wish I would've caught a shiny Riolu cause it's awesome AND it's my favorite color, yellow)

My brother claimed it was his because he evolved it, but he gave it back to me because he realized it's harder to find a shiny than it is to evolve Grimer.

At Pokémon gold (not the remake), I caught a shiny hoothoot (when I caught it I was like 8 and didn't know anything about shiny's).
I also saw a shiny whooper, but killed it when I tried to lower its hp (Dow moment xD)

The only problem is that I still got the cartridge, but it got corrupted after I put it in a regular gameboy (Most confusing was that the cartridge said gameboy and not gameboy color). Advice: Do not try this at home

I think I've caught two. Sentret, Wrumple, and I should have caught a shiny Shuppet, because I cloned to have multiple Masterballs, but instead of pressing item, I pressed run.    I have caught shiny Gyrados, but just because they are automatically there.
