When I played this game it glitches and freezes at curtain points during the game play. When your fighting that Squid it would glitch out when I use the fire ball move on him. Another time while your fighting the axe gang. After you get the red gang member to that laser cannon it would make the noise of the cannon firing but it wouldn't shoot out anything and freeze afterwards. I haven't beaten the game when I was younger and I wanted to get a chance to finish the game once. I just need one more star to have them all. But I can't get beyond the fight of the axe gang. Anyone would know what's wrong?

I thought I was making it through fine, after using the quick save/load. But after fighting Johnny its starting to piss me off. Freezes every time the star goes to the clouds. Killing me, cause I love playing this game.

This game freezes when I would start it and go through the menu tutorial.  it freezes if I try to equip and armor. I just stopped playing to many things that would freeze it and to often. sucks because I love this game!

katie.rae : I ran into the same problem when I got Bowser.

Can't equip armor or new weapons, can't watch tutorials, etc.

I love this game... but it's not worth the aggravation!

Also mine. For the equipment freeze, I think it's a random duration before it freezes. Have to equip very fast if lucky.

In my game it tends to freeze when I'm in the item and equipment screen almost every time. This is a game that I have enjoyed many times that I have played. How ever I am unable to get past the beginning stages because of this glitch. Please figure out a way to fix this so that I can continue playing. I have even tried playing under a different save slot to see if it would make any difference but with no success. Please fix this. I appreciate your consideration for doing so. Bennon87

a way to prevent freezing from changing weapons

step 1: unequip current weapon

step 2: exit out of menu

step 3: return to menu

step 4: equip desired weapon

each time you change weapons, this must be done for one character each or it will freeze still
