Oh what can we say about the Metal Slug franchise other than THANK YOU to Davideo7 for making this gem available. The amount of Viz points I need to pay to play this timeless classic is nothing compared to the mountain of quarters I've punched into this series as a whole. I know these games in and out and I want to go on record saying that Contra is terrible compared to Metal Slug.

Has anybody else played these wonderful classics? Gush in this thread about them.

I like the Metal Slug series but it's weird that you would put a comparison to Contra when this game came out like 20 years after Contra did.

It's amazing that Contra is still fun to play like 30 years after it was released. That's all I'm saying lol

I never played the Metal Slug games in the Arcade unfortunately but I have played them on other devices throughout the years. I almost always like the stuff SNK produces and I agree that the Metal Slug series is better than the Contra series.
