Recently an update for the RGR plug in has been released and it supports net play. I am curious on what exactly Netplay is. How does it work, is it like being player/controller2 on a Nintendo64 only online? Or is it more complicated than that?

Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance for any information on the topic.

DesertRecon3 : Well to briefly explain it, Netplay is a fairly new feature on Vizzed that allows multiple people to play games on this site with each other. Netplay supports many systems, some systems that don't work with Netplay include the gameboy's. The N64 can support up to 8 players and the SNES supports up to 4. Those who join after the game begins or join after the maximum number of people who can play the game are spectators who watch the game.

As for who can play, only elites+ (as far as I know) can start Netplay sessions. Normal members can join Netplay sessions but can't create them. Newbies can't join or create sessions. There is an item in the item shop called Netplay, which, for 25,000 viz, does 1 of 2 things:
1) allows normal members to create sessions also
2) allows newbies to join sessions (but they can't create sessions)

And that's pretty much it for the basics.

DesertRecon3 : Well first of all you should read all of the available information that Davido so graciously posted in order to inform you a little on the subject. https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=45575

To sum it up simply netplay is available only to certain members. It allows you to play games with other users. Pokemon trading is not currently supported.

If you still have questions after that, let me know.

That makes me sad, I really want Pokemon trading(who doesn't). Will trading be supported later on?

aldian : It depends. Part of the reason trading isn't possible is because of the way the GBA emulator is currently programmed (At least as far as I was informed) So at this point it would just be too difficult to do.

They are looking at adding it in the future but there is no timetable as to when that will happen. For now just be happy that there are literally thousands of games that you can play online against/with friends on Vizzed.com.

OK, I understand. I hope it can be made  soon, I could finally convince my friends to join Vizzed then. I wonder if you can program something in that would act like a virtual game link cable for all the Gameboy games. (just a suggestion)
