Why not make it so the only way to access the "Christian Conservatives" forum, is to buy the Bible item?

It's gimmicky, but it keeps things interesting

EDIT - Since it apparently NEEDS explaining. It's finding a use for a useless item, and finding a way to make the Christian Forum locked off similarly to how some others are (can't get into Cafe Corner unless you are 13, etc)

I know that I'm answering before David here, but I'd be against that. Reason being is that the Christian forum shouldn't be secretive - having to buy an item to access it will make it seem suspicious in my opinion.

i agree with queeny there. Its annoying that only a christian one is there, i know why it is there but personaly i think it either goes or we get ones for atheism and other religions too.
As it stands even non xstians are allowed to post in there, i wouldnt buy the bible so id regard that as being locked out. That would be a step too far i feel. I dont want that to be implemented

I know I read some thread where David was talking about he wants to remove the Christian forum - either he does that or makes a "every-religion" forum, right?

tRIUNE : there was a thread where someone was complaining about a xstian forum only, dave said he created it for his bible games site and intended on moving it or something, and that he thought any religion forums were problems waiting to happen.
How long before he actualy does anything i dont know though.
As i said, doing the bible thing is the straw and the camels back.
I really wouldnt care if there was an apropriate forum for the other denominations. Until the xstian one is removed i actualy thinks its only fair we get at least a temporary one :/

tRIUNE : to be fair, he also hired gay people too, and he said he didnt think being gay was much different to, i think pedophilia was said.
He dosent generaly push an agenda on it, except for having only a bible in the item shop, thats annoying.
And he never intended for the xtian forum to be permanent.
It could be worse, but my focus is that it could be better.

Well, personally I wouldn't find the "all-religion" forum annoying, yet, everyone seems to find the Christian forum annoying.

Yeah I'm not sure if that's the greatest idea, especially since that would probably decrease the activity in that forum, especially the Christian activity.

Restricting the Christian Forum does seem a tad secretive. Regardless, this is a primarily videogame based forum with some other themes that all relate to either videogames or general life. The Christian Forum does fit that definition, but it always seemed like it didn't really belong. At least that's my opinion. I'd rather do away with all religion for this site, but I don't see that happening.

I've never discussed it with David himself, but I doubt he has any issue with individual people (otherwise neither me nor Ken would have ever made it to Global). geeo did tell me that he is openly against homosexuality, but if anyone harassed me for it, then he would ban them.

Back when I first came out to the site, AuraBlaze said, "All too often, anger towards an action is mistaken for hatred towards a person --there is a huge difference between the two." I think that's what tRIUNE was getting at.

Even as a Christian, I have to agree that restricting access to the Christian forum would be hurtful not just to the board's level of activity but to everyone who is against the Christian faith. Requiring the Bible item to be granted access to that one forum is like saying, "you will agree with us or you will not participate."

Even if no changes are made, I still sees a Catch-22 with the Christian forum. I understand if people view this as if David is saying, "Christianity is correct, everyone else is wrong." The problem with removing the Christian forum is that it sends a white flag to everyone else saying that Christians have given up on all arguments, and this would also galvanize atheists` beliefs that all religions are bull crap.
