Manaphy has a Phione, but Phione does not evolve into manaphy! what the heck?

I always thought this was odd. I'm hope someone else will agree. When I first got my Manaphy... I was like "wow I can breed them get so many manaphys plus a baby phione pokedex data!" I looked in my guide book to see how to evolve phiones into manaphys... and it said you can not evolve them. I was so sad because manaphys make great tanks when ev trained right. In Pokémon battle revolution the final boss of set 8 had a manaphy that was insane! It took me three tries to beat him. phione's base stats are like half of manaphys so I don't even bother now. I think Nintendo needs to fix this does anyone agree with me?

Manaphy is a legendary pokemon, as such, it shouldn't be able to breed, period.

However, the fact it breeds into a phione is really enough.

I think the whole thing is weird. If you can get the baby, you think it would evolve, but, like Leggy said, the legendaries shouldn't evolve, so I think how they did it is fine. They don't want you getting all the legendaries you want.

I do not think Phione should evolve into Manaphy, but just that Phione should not have even bothered to exist. What does it offer? All it does is give you a lesser version of something you already have (because you need Manaphy to create Phione). Maybe if Phione had its own small niche in stats or abilities, it could have a purpose, but otherwise it just seems pointless.

If you find it so necessary to have multiple Manaphy's, just use a cheating device.  If not, just leave the original design alone, since everything that is in the games are extremely well designed and thought through.
