I get on my laptop to come here today and it says my IP address is banned from the whole site, can't even get to the front page, I just want to know what I did that constitutes an IP ban (took a quick look through rules, but didn't see anything that indicates any wrong doing on my part)

Look there is no need to get all worried about it. The ban was obviously lifted because you were able to post this thread.
