There was a Dragon Ball Z game for the PSX and Saturn. It was called Dragonball Z Legends. It covered all of DBZ. It is a really great game. However, it was never released anywhere besides Japan.

My idea is that maybe, as something to attract some serious attention to G-Y-R, you guys translate the game to english. I don't mean like you guys Dub it. I mean most of the story telling is in letters(and words). So, if you were able to get a translator and a coder, you could put in English text. It would be like the FFVII English translation.

I came up with this idea when I was playing with a toy of mine...I have fun with the toy but it also brings out my creative side.

I wish i could do something to go along with this idea but i am not a coder nor do i know Japanese...

It all depends what kind of letting that they used, fan translations are a complicated thing sometimes and the way that some games of that time were coded.. it's nearly impossible to pull off.

A singular person? That would be quite the task... Mother 3 was a GBA game and worked on by people who had done translations professionally before... and that took over a year and a half.

By the way: This game isn't that long. The story...think of it as...have you played Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm or DragonBallZ Burst Limit? If you've played either of them then you know what the story is like. And even then, there aren't but a few battles per saga. No adventure mode or anything like that. It's just a straight forward fighter.

By the way, if you've played Burst Limit, know that the story in DBZL isn't even that detailed.

ok, well to translate this we would need a few people.
obviously a translator. some to edit hex values, possibly a graphics coder, someone to hack certain values, possibly even a programmer.
psx translation isnt as easy to do as a snes or gba game either, but we'll see what the others say

hmmm, while 2 sources say it was released on both euro saturn and psx, i havnt found any roms, yet.
but i did find a copy of the saturn one on ebay, so i will confirm that it had an euro release. still havnt varified if its english but.

Well if this game was in english in Europe, than we'll find a way to get it.

And to be honest, it would probably cost GYR hundreds to pay someone to translate this, if not much more and there are plenty of other games I'd rather invest my money in, this would definitely not pay for itself. We at GYR aren't rich lol, we barely make anything off the site.

Thing is...I don't have the game, or a Saturn for that matter...though I don't think that would be completely necessary. Is there a working emulator for Saturn? I know Saturn is kinda hard to emulate....
