I know there is a lot of pokemon fans on here, but I have one question is pokemon a little overrated. It's like a lot of RPG's, I like the games but I don't like them as much as most people.

No, I do not think it is overrated because a lot of people seem to love it and it is a very good game.

Don't get me wrong. I really liked Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow. They were very fun and pretty addicting. Thing is though, they overdid the Pokemon game a LONG time ago, and here is why. It took them FOREVER to do anything different with the game. It was always the same basic story, same goal, tweaked events (but still strikingly similar), same strategy, and same game play. The only difference they were really making was continuously adding the newest generation of Pokemon into the game. It wasn't until a few years ago they started doing better with changing the story, but it is still the same basic principal. It is like sports games with me. They add a few new features and update the players, and people eat it up like candy and just go crazy for the newest release of the same thing. The originals will always be fun to me, but the game franchise overall is just overdone and overrated.

I dont think it was overrated 10 years ago..now, yeah kind of. It hasn't changed much. Which is sometimes a good thing and sometimes bad.
