Wow this poem is something that feels intense to me. You might have been angry while writing it? I don't know, but your vocabulary is very nice. Thank you very much for posting it.

and in regards to how emotional it IS. I don't see a problem with it at all. I'd like to say that 90% of art IS emotion in one sense or another. Poetry is a very good way to help us deal with our emotions too. Because regardless of how many people like to portray a ' normal ' person we all have emotions and we all have to figure out how to deal with them.

On another note. Honestly I don't take cutting and dressing in all black so lightly. I do believe there are a lot that just take it as a fashion sense and as a way to get attention, but it isn't always like that. I'm not one to be all ' lovely ideals ' and no reality. And I don't want to baby people. But some people that do that really feel hopeless and really can't stop cutting theme selves. I guess I just don't really like that someone takes it as a complete joke. Sorry maybe this isn't the place to post this...

Yeah, I was pretty upset/angry. I had a bit of a self realization that I wasn't entirely happy about, and eventually felt compelled to just write the first things that came to mind.

Also, in response to TNWNN post... (I'm not summoning him, frankly his posts can be irritating), No, I do not wear all black, or cut myself on a daily basis. I wear very colorful clothing, mostly of the light blue variety, and have never once cut myself (unless you count my first time shaving.... I made an accident when I did that )

I'm not usually very big on non-rhyming poetry, but that's a taste that I've grown out of over the years. I kind of came to a point where I realized that the non-rhyming variety are usually the ones that require more emotion... the kind of "reach really deep inside of you" emotion that wrenches at your heart.

The strange thing is... I have a poem almost EXACTLY like this.  However, it focused a little more on various ways something could burn or move or be destroyed, and at the end of the poem, you realize the whole poem was talking about words in general.

Anyways, I just wanted to say that I hope the time for this emotion has come and passed.  My best pieces come from when I am in my worst emotional state, but I'd rather you were happy than producing good poetry.
