I'm up to the battle frontier, or rather i've just got to get 5 more gold symbols, and my team is:
For the frontier: Blastoise, Metagross & Dragonite
Others (alternating): Salamence, Kingdra, Venasuar, Skarmory, Aerodactyl, Electabuzz
Golduck is used as the HM whore for all diving and waterfall needs (plus surf and rock smash)
