Well, just about an hour ago, one of my dogs died, my chihuahua, Rufus.
 
Apparently, someone at my house left the side gate cracked open enough to let him and one of my other dogs, Dino, out into the street. The two ended up crossing the street into a yard full of kids (who had absolutely zero adult supervision, btw) and they tried shooing them away not by just yelling at them, by PUSHING OVER  A FULLY LOADED BLACK TRASH CAN (which you would empty out the regular trash into for garbage day). It landed on Rufus, and Dino narrowly escaped being crushed. Some other kids saw my chihuahua limping across the street and saw him collapse and pretty much die right on the sidewalk in front of the neighbor's house. The came and told me and my family right away.

I am incredibly pissed off not at the kids who did this, but the main parents there who weren't watching them at all. MY family caled the police and everything is being sorted out as I type. There was a large stick right next to the tipped-over trash can as well. I believe Rufus wouldn't be too slow to let himself get crushed, especially since he was probably staring at the children as they were shooing him at first. Either he got crushed or hit repeatedly. Based on the looks on my dog, I can't tell. He has no visible injuries. (btw, he's not a small chihuahua, he's mixed with something else so he's a lot bigger than the average chihuahua)

First I had one dog get hit by a car a couple of years ago, and now this. =/ R.I.P. Rufus

My gosh that is horrible! I hate parents that don't watch their children. First it's not safe for the children and secondly they can do horrible things like this without knowing what they are doing!

I'm so sorry for you! No one has killed any of my pets but I know the feeling of a sudden loss. They are not just animals they are family.

Wow, that's very sad. Those children are pretty much out of their minds. If they are young, it is the parent's fault. Not watching them. If they are 12-older then its definitely their fault. I feel bad for you man. :feelsbadman:

The parents of those kids should be ashamed... It was their fault by not watching at their kids. 

sorry to hear that... I was in a similar situation around this time last year, except it ended up with my neighbour straight up poisoning my dog

In real life I had a pug named Henry and a cat named Boo. In the game Nintendo dogs + cats I had 5 dogs named Rainbow, Pearl, Max, Henry, and Buddy and a cat named Bob.
