Now, as you guys may know, I am not one to gossip nor talk badly about people. That is not how I deal with things. But I do feel a bit bothered about something that happened a bit earlier today.

Earlier, I had posted a Bad Luck Brian meme picture on Facebook poking a little bit of harmless fun at Leggy for the massive ban glitch that happened earlier today. I was just trying to lighten up the mood for everyone dealing with the glitch. Then someone (whose real name and username will not be mentioned for safety reasons) had posted the following comment afterwards:

"LOL JASMIN YOU SO FUNNY YOU USE MEME YOU SO FUNNY HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. F*ck off, cancer."

Now, I managed to find out the person's username and look the person up and, as I had suspected, it was a Newbie that was younger than me. I was so tempted to reply to the person's comment saying "You don't need to be rude about it, that isn't what Vizzed is about." but then realized that if I did, I would stoop down to that person's level and that it was really unnescessary and inappropriate to post it on there. I am less bothered by that comment now since I found that that person was a Newbie, and it honestly is just a minor thing to worry about in general too. But still, that kinda made my blood boil a bit.

legacyme3 : By the way, If the meme joke bothered you in any way, I apologize. I had meant to do that with good intentions and to brighten up the fussy mood everyone was in over the glitch.

I feel better now venting this out on here because I wasn't really sure that what I was feeling was the right way to react to this. :/

What do you guys think about this and about rudeness in general? Why do people think that by putting other people off it makes them seem smarter and cooler when in reality it does not?

I think people is rude because, as you said, they think that acting that way they will become "cooler".

When it's just the opposite, it makes them look ignorant.

It also could be because they don't know how to Debate correctly...

i imagine in this case the guy was either annoyed by being banned or he was trying to be cool.
but there are other reasons. sometimes its because the person doesnt get to speak thier mind at home or something or they are in a bad situation at home and need somebody to take it out on. it all just depends.

the people who are snakes want to take advantage of you somehow, by using you to do things like buy them stuff, go to your house, invite their friends over, break things and/or be mean to you.

those are snakes. Those are some of the main habits of being a snake.

those are caused by rough childhoods, bad influences, and/or negativity towards people

Meh. Rudeness is just fawkin' normal.


Well, for me anyway. Just ignore them, it's not like a few insults over the internet will kill ya'. But, nice inside joke meme, I giggled.

Rudeness is rudeness. Some are good people beneath that and some aren't. They aren't "snakes" or anything. Deal with it bruvah!

Anyway, you shouldn't let it bother you. People aren't always going to like what you say, nor should you expect them to. Granted, you just expected someone to not bash you, which isn't a wrong thing to think. But this is the internet, holmes. People say crappy things to each other, and frankly, what he said to you was stupid and irritating but I've heard/seen/given/been given far worse flames/insults.

He was making fun of you for using a meme... it's nothing personal against you or who you are. Your image was funny and clever. It was just a dumb thing to say on his part, but it's not that big of a deal. Unnecessary? Yup. Life shattering? Not quite.

Brush it off, pal. =)

Thanks for the insight and compliments guys. And like I said before, it's no biggie now. It's water under the bridge, as my boyfriend always tells me. lol.

And it also feels awesome that when a joke you made become kinda popular with people. That's why I love making people laugh because laughter is contagious and I'm brightening someone's day one way or another. :3

Anyone else have opinions on this toopic that they'd like to share? I love what I have read so far.
