Hey there gamers! Our latest news on device technology is the up and
coming long awaited 3DS-XL from Japan! For many of us who enjoy gaming
while traversing the globe or just your daily routine, welcome the
3DS-XL. The new and improved version will be released in Japan at the
end of July and American consumers will get their hands on it In August.
The new model includes a variety of perks including different
colors, a longer lasting battery, and an extended screen. The screen is
suggested to be larger than its predecessor by two times and the
battery life will last gamers between 3-6 hrs depending on the game.
Furthermore, if it’s a DS game the techies from Mt Fuji say you'd get up
to ten hours straight of gaming... pretty cool.
But, unless you've got about 18,000 yen (around 200 $) then you
better keep mowing lawns guys although I got to tell you this XL is well
worth every penny. How do I know that? Because size does matter.
Gameplay is going to include RPG's, sports titles, adventure
games, puzzle games and as a bonus a sequel to the Mario Smash Bros.
series.Such games as pocket soccer and Lost Planet as well as Samurai Warriors will keep you busy for hours. Also there was mention to a
music game compatible with you Mii.
All in all this release will create a new Market for gamers who
are in need of an upgrade but the word on the street is Nintendo is
still slugging it on the actual touch pad/analog controls. Gamers have
been complaining for a while about the accessibility of the keyboard and

Davideo7 : Really? You waited out on 3DS to get one that doesn't have an AC Adapter? Lol. Anyways, I think the 3DS XL was a really silly idea on Nintendo's part. The only plus to it, in my eyes is the extended battery life.

The 3DS XL is pretty unnecessary in my opinion. Kind of the "Okay, we have the 3DS, now what? Oh I know, make it twice its size for no particular reason." It doesn't really add up, really. But if that's what Nintendo wants, the money will just roll into their pockets.

What the point of making the screen bigger when it already okay. It won't even fit in your pockets to. The 3DS-XL will be a waste of money to lot of people. It don't even need to be made at all.

Im glad to see so much attention to this topic. However, im with Dave on this matter, any time new technology comes out from its predecessor its usually a better buy and the hardware lasts longer.  Look at the slimmer models of the Ps3 and xbox 360, if you call the marketing agents for tech support they will tell you that the reason these models come out is they last longer and after seeing a product out for awhile they can gauge its longevity and ultimately this is where they figure out what breaks down quicker and helps them figure out how to make a better version.  The 3ds is basically a prototype of the XL for these reasons.  Ill also agree with Dave that if anyone was given the chance to choose a brand new XL over the former im sure wed all know who'd do what.  i mean you guys and gals wouldnt even want to try the new model out? everyone is slamming it for different reasons but how many of you have actually tried it? I have at a toys r us and it was ridiculously fun.
