I haven't posted art in awhile, so hey, why not.



I just started playing Pokemon Black on an emulator yesterday and this is my current team, shortly after defeating the first gym.

We've got Blitzkrieg the Blitzle, Talon the shiny Rufflet, Terry the Lillipup, Kanda the Snivy, and Joshua the shiny Mew.

Haven't picked that last member of my team yet, and I don't know if Blitzkrieg and Terry are going to stay on my team permanently or not, but there you go.

If it isn't obvious, yes, I cheated to get Joshua. I put in a code that allows level 3 mew to show up on route 1, but his stats and moveset haven't been tampered with.  I have no reason for hacking other than mew is my favorite pokemon and it is impossible to get. I've always always wanted a shiny mew.

I used a code to make the rufflet and mew shiny, mainly because I love blue, and both are blue in their shiny forms (well, braviary is anyway). I really only cheat for shiny pokemon if I prefer the new colors, otherwise I leave them as is.

I also only cheat if I've already beaten the game, which I have. My white version has no codes on it at all, so for those who are all "GRRR You CHEATER!" well... haters gonna hate.

Since drawing this picture, Terry has evolved into a herdier and Kanda has attempted to evolve like... 5 times. But I won't allow it until he's learned better moves. He's not a very strong attacker right now. Blitzkrieg is my glass cannon, Kanda is my wall, and Terry, Joshua, and Talon are my main attackers. Joshua really wasn't very useful until he learned mega punch, but now he just dominates.

I love my shiny mew.

On3On : This piece was pretty fun to draw and completed fast due to the coloring style used. So I'm glad you guys like it. For such a simple piece, I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for the good luck wishes, though I probably don't need them. Pokemon isn't particularly hard to beat unless you nuzlocke or something.

Good to hear that, I know I would be immensely satisfied with this drawing, its a laid-back and "simple" scene, like you said.
And in foresight, yes, its not luck you need in a Pokémon game, it is time, hours of grinding. XP

Also, it seems what you get out of a game is exactly what you put in it.
The setting of Pokémon is what makes it so interesting, its putty in the gamers mind, or something like that. I forgot.

Well, Kit, even if it's been a while since your last creation posted on Vizzed Board, it's always nice to see someone back with some good stuff to show us. Ok, it's not Glyph but some Pokemons this time. Actually, they are cute, taking a good nap. We don't want to wake them up so ssssssssshhhhhh everyone...

I'll be posting another drawing of this same team (A few gyms later) in this thread some time in the future too. Dunno how long it'll take since Kingdom Hearts 3d was released today, but we'll see.

What? How could you forget that? Ha ha I'm just kidding, Kit. Yes, I am indeed a fan of Glyph. As they are apparently assassins, the Gligars (I don't know if I"m spelling that correctly, I think someone will throw some rocks at me ha ha ) could be a good and new race for role play. I don't know if I already said that before, oh well

Must have been a quite the battle. Was this completely drawn by hand or did you use some computer software? The colors are balance and warm and some of the lines give the characters texture --like you can actually feel their fur or skin if you touched them. I better not look at this for too long, or the drowsiness will transfer to me.

I was aiming for warmth when I chose the colors, so I'm glad it comes off like that.
