Howdy folks,

I'm CountryFried and I am new to the world of Vizzed. I found this site while looking around the Internet for classic games and so far it looks like everything I could ever need is right here in one place. I was a huge gamer during my Childhood, when I would get home from school the first thing I would do usually included grabbing a snack, a bottle of soda, and turning on the Nintendo. I decided to register on Vizzed because of all the titles I remember playing as a child and it has given me a great feeling of nostalgia.

Some of my favorite games from back then included Mario, Zelda, Starfox, Chrono Trigger, and I'll admit, I had a lot of fun with the Batman games. I've owned quite a few gaming systems and accessories in my time. Super Nintendo, N64, a plethora of Gameboys among others including some newer generation consoles. I have to say out of all of them, I prefer the older games and systems much more than those of today's generation. I have nothing against newer consoles, there have been a lot of improvements in the last 10 years, but it goes back to the happy memories I had as a child and the great experiences I had with many of the games!

That's about all I can think of right now so I guess if anyone feels like they would enjoy a walk down memory lane or just say hello I look forward to it and I'll try to reply as soon as I'm aware of it! Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit better. I hope I have the same opportunity.

Hello and nice to meet you as well. Thank you I'll look into the chat feature very soon! I am still trying to get my bearings as there is a lot of content and things to look through but I plan on sticking around for a bit so hopefully It'll all come in time. So far I'm very impressed with everything and to put it all in simple terms I feel like a kid who just got a new toy. Everything really looks great and I foresee a lot of good experiences while I'm here. There are a mighty amount of things to do and only so many hours in a day haha. Well thanks for the reply and I look forward to seeing you around. Take care!

Hey CountryFried or CF! Welcome to Vizzed Board!

I'm Seishiro Leonhart, I'm a RGR (Retro Game Room) Staff member of Vizzed, in the role of Game Tester, like the name suggests, I test games around Vizzed that needs to be tested.

I used to be a huge gamer on my childhood too, I loved to play games like: Mario, Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Ice Climber, Clu-clu land, Metal Gear (the NES one), and much more, but instead of playing the games on the real Nintendo video game, I played the games on my PS1 (which actually is not working, because the thing that read the CDs don't work) with a NES emulator CD that my father bought me.

I found Vizzed at exactly 451 days ago, I was searching for the classic game "Millipede", at first, I found this site, but I left, but very shortly I rechecked the here, and it was one of teh best things I could do, I played many games that I loved to play when young (there is still other games that I played a lot when young, I'm just lazy to search for them), and games that I never played before!
i can't say that I like the classic games more than the recent games, because I didn't had the chance to paly the recent games much, some of the recent games that I remember playing and enjoying a lot, were Alan Wake and Dead Rising 2 on a Xbox 360, which belonged to my brother, but he traded his Xbox 360 for something else that I don't know, but sometimes, my brother brings the PS3 and we played some musical games, like Guitar Hero, so I have to stick with the classics, or some games from the PS2 or PS1. I can't wait to get my own recent video game.

I liked how you made your introduction thread, you look like to be a smart guy; Feel free to to look around Vizzed, for the games you loved, the forums etc.

Oh! Why don't you hang out on the forums sometimes? You got a good skill on making posts, people will like your posts, you can receive a lot of Viz (Site Currency), and maybe, if you make enough good posts, you can earn TP (Trust Points); There is a lot of interesting forums taht would like to hear your opinion about something, or games for you to play, they can be interesting to read and cool to post! Don't worry about peopel trying to humiliate you or something when you share your opinion, if someone dares to do this, simply click the red Report button on top of the post and select the kind of trouble the user is causing, and they will suffer the proper consequences, being one of them the mighty BAN HAMMER, but if YOU do that YOU will suffer the consequences.

Just make sure you remember that if you ever need help with something or have a problem or trouble around Vizzed, make sure you click the Staff link on top of the page or Here, from there, you can send a PM (Private Message) to the System User that fits in your kind of problem or needs. And make sure you check out the Help Center link on top of the page too, or here, taht page contains important and useful tips about Vizzed, and answers to some of your possible questions.

Oh, TP means Trust Points, Trust Points indicates how trustful the user is, getting 10 TP will turn you into a Trusted Member, but if you fall below a certain amount of TP you will be turned back into a Normal Member; Becoming Trusted will give you certain advantages, which you can find out about it in the Help Center.

Feel free to add me as friend, I'll add you back, maybe we could have a good chat and maybe play some chat games together.

I hope you continue here, hanging out with us, the Vizzards, in the land of V for a long time!

See ya!

Howdy Seishiro Leonhart, Happy to make your acquaintance! I have many fond memories of those games. Mario of course is an all time favorite of mine as is the Zelda Series! I had a wonderful time with a few different games in the series and they've earned a spot on my top 10 easily. The only Zelda game I really ever disliked was Majora's Mask. Mega Man is another game I loved although I never had the chance to play as much as I would have liked, it seems I can get a second chance with it while I'm here. Metal Gear is in my top 5, I own just about every Metal Gear game released, and I'm still working on that collection. Yeah I understand that, I've used emulators in the past but it's much easier to play a lot of these classics thanks to Vizzed now. It's hard to find a lot of older games these days unless you use emulators. I've looked around for old systems and games and have had some luck buying them, but the selection as you can imagine, is not very good or is generally overpriced. I used to own both a PlayStation 3 and an Xbox 360. They're both great consoles, and have had a few great games. I loved Guitar Hero. I can't remember exactly which one I bought but it was one of the first ones that came out, I spent a good weekend nonstop playing. The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was an awesome game as well that I thoroughly enjoyed. After getting rid of the Xbox I went out and bought it for the PC and still replay it over and over to this day. I've tried a little bit of Skyrim but I haven't had a chance to play through it in much detail yet. Little Big planet is also a favorite of mine from the newer generation consoles. My buddies and I have had countless laughs and parties focused around that game. I loved the PS1 and PS2, those were good times to me. Lots of content, decent games, and at the time, it was just an all around console that performed amazingly.

Thank you for the praise! I try to make anything I post on a forum readable and generally try to keep it fairly organized. As you can probably tell by now I am very word heavy with my posts. I usually try to keep them short and to the point for their context but I ramble a lot I've found. I plan to be somewhat active on the forums. I really like forums in the first place and it's always been a great way to feel out what the community will be like. Yeah, I've been earning Viz slowly but surely. I think I've caught up on most of the basic procedure so far with taking the quiz, visiting different parts of the site, rating games, referring, etc. I've done a bit of forum browsing so far and will continue looking through things and posting where I think a response would be a good addition to the thread. I appreciate the rundown on everything as well. I've looked over part of the FAQ and what not and there is a lot of information to take in and digest. I'm not worried about trolls, they're a part of the Internet and I've had my fair share of contact with them, they're pretty much all the same, if they can't get a rise out of you they'll leave it well enough alone or in some cases have fun talking to themselves. Again, thanks for everything and I look forward to hearing from you again!

CountryFried : That's a really big explanation!

Anyway, making long posts on Vizzed is a good thing, don't worry about making your posts short, if you make big enough, you may even get a Jersey! Jerseys can be obtained on TdV or Tour de Vizzed, if you post in the way the Jerseys require, you may turn your username cool, like for example, have a yellow, blue, red or green background, have a white username, which is called the white banner, which is only obtainable when the user had been on Vizzed for at maximum 3 months, and the mighty rainbow banner, when you are on 1st on the TdV competition, you get a rainbow username. There are 4 Jerseys in total for now and 2 banners.

Yellow Jersey: The user that post the most amount of words in a day.
Blue Jersey: The user that make the most posts in a day.
Red Jersey: The user that make the biggest post in a day.
And Green Jersey: The user that make teh most posts over 30 words in 1 hour.
White banner: For users that been on Vizzed for up to 3 months, the white banner is given to the user that is on 1st on the New user competition.
And Rainbow banner: Given to users that are on 1st on the competition.

If you win a Jersey, you will "wear" (or equip) the Jersey for the next following day, if you win the Jersey competition, you get to "wear" (or equip) the jersey for the next entire month.

I guess you still have time to compete, but I'm not sure if you can become 1st on everything, sicne the TdV soon will end, it will end on July 31st, but you can get a few Jerseys before it's gone, so hurry! go grab them while you can! (But please, try to help me win the most higher position possible, I'm on 2nd place on Overall score for the TdV).

Good Luck!

@Brenman213 - Thank you very much. I have been exploring a little bit and browsing through some of the titles in the Retro Game Room. See you around!

@Seishiro - Yeah I told you I can ramble sometimes haha! I don't really plan on doing anything for this TdV although I'll still be posting now and again. I will likely try to jump in when the next one comes around that way I can get a decent start. It sounds like it is a lot of fun though so I'm looking forward to the next opportunity. Thanks and Good luck to you as well!

CountryFried : Thanks! I will try my best.
So far today I've got the highest positions today, and the most amount of points!
I hope I don't lose my will to continue competing, but I can still win the Tour de Vizzed.
